2016 NFL Offseason Thread

SportsAndLadyIn the last two weeks, I've turned on ESPN 3 times and all 3 times they've been talking about how amazing Dax Prescott (I think that's how you spell his douchey first name) is playing for Dallas. And how he's already ahead of Russell Wilson in this stage of their careers.
Is this mainstream media shooting their wads or is he actually that good? -
AutomatikESPN now shows WWE highlights on their main page. I'll just leave it at that.
-
Azubuike24They have a whole section for WWE content and such. It's pretty strange.
-
Azubuike24Dak.
We'll see. He's looked really good. With Romo's injury history, he might get to show what he's made of sooner than later. The Cowboys are going to suck, but they were brutal without Romo last year, so he might just get to chuck it around. At least last year their defense could somewhat hold other teams at bay. This year, their defense might rival the Saints for the worst in the NFL. -
Laley23ESPN has a deal with WWE now. So, you have to deal with them promoting the shit out if it now, just like they do with their other rights. And their personalities will be tweeting about it as well.
-
Azubuike24Romo hurt. So it might be Dak Prescott time right away.

2. He'll be playing by week three inevitably because Romo. Case and point last night. -
iclfan2Colin Kaepeornick won't stand during the national anthem because he's a dumb piece of shit. I'd cut him.

HereticHe just wants to "make America great again", lol.
-
wildcats20Broken bone in back for Romo. I just can't. He should have never been playing in the preseason.
-
slingshot4everBrowns have Cowboys Week 9....Romo may or may not be back by then
-
HereticRomo should probably retire before he dies on the field someday. His body just can't take hits.

friendfromlowry“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,”
said the back-up QB making $19 million a year. -
Dr Winston O'Boogie
Exactly. If the 49ers had any balls whatsoever, they'd cut him right now. It's his right to sit, sure. It's the team's right to cut him immediately. It'd be a nice move with limited risks owing to the fact that his career is circling the drain anyway.friendfromlowry;1808720 wrote:said the back-up QB making $19 million a year. -
SportsAndLadyJemele Hill on Mike and Mike now comparing Kaepernick to muhammed Ali lol

Of course she is. I can't stand her... she might be more racist than luaren hill.SportsAndLady;1808765 wrote:Jemele Hill on Mike and Mike now comparing Kaepernick to muhammed Ali lol

sleeperI think he is doing this to prevent getting cut.
He's a trash QB making too much money and he came out like this so if he's cut he can say "I was cut for my beliefs by a racist organization". It's the classic case of pulling the race card. -

This is why ESPN is a joke. She shouldn't be employed at any actual sports news station that had integrity or cared about actual sports reporting. Oh, and that they have WWE now.SportsAndLady;1808765 wrote:Jemele Hill on Mike and Mike now comparing Kaepernick to muhammed Ali lol -
thavoiceKap has every right to do what he is doing.
And people have every right to blast him for it.
If he wants to make a difference he can do many other things that could actually attempt to matter. The problem isn't police oppression, it is the lack of respect for authority in America. Be it parents, grandparents, coaches, teachers, police, etc.....the lost of respect for authority has caused a shitstorm where everyone has to be on edge all the time. Even that fuckface Lochte when he said the police told him to get down on the ground and says he basically told him off......fucking idiot and wrong message to send!
If he wants to make a difference all ne needs to do is address the violence a certain races perpetuates on its own. Start there. -
thavoiceIn good news.......glad to see that QB for the bengals throw a bad pick six last night. HOPEFULLY that allows Keith Wenning to stick around on the practice squad again this year!
-
thavoiceIt is already done already, but someone needs to make a meme of Kap with the caption of what he said and transpose it onto the scene in Forrest Gump where he "fights in the middle of his black panther party''iclfan2;1808693 wrote:Colin Kaepeornick won't stand during the national anthem because he's a dumb piece of shit. Azubuike24Wenning isn't eligible. He's likely to be cut. If you play 6 or more games on the active 53-man roster, you can't be on an NFL practice squad. Wenning was active for 7 weeks last year when Dalton was injured. He probably won't stick in the NFL as most teams only carry 2 QB's.
-
thavoiceThat rule changed a little bit in recent years.
Among the other rules if a guy meets the following he is still eligible.
*Have one prior Accrued Season in which the player was on the 45-man active roster for no more than 8 games
And starting this season
*The league will also allow four players per practice squad to have two accrued seasons, making it easier for teams to give experienced players a place in the NFL. Before, only two players with two accrued seasons were allowed to be on a practice squad."

Azubuike24Do you think he will be one of them? I don't see him amounting to much, even as a future backup. I suppose it might help since he's been in the system for a few years though.
