2016 Browns Season Thread

I've heard only bad things on Fuller. No way Fuller goes ahead of Treadwell, Doctson, Coleman or even Shepard/Thomas. Not a complete WR. Small. Never will be one. If Cincy takes him, I'll be uber pissed.

I love Coleman and Shepard, especially that Doctson and Treadwell are likely gone before the top 20.

I will say though, the WR class is really all over the map. You have potentially 6 WR's who could be ranked all over the place.

He will definitely go before Shepard/Thomas. And I will also say he goes before Doctson and Coleman. But I agree with you I'm not a fan of him either.

Other than he drops too many balls?

Fuller is too small to be a dominant #1 Wideout, I think.

But, as a #2 or slot WR for a team with a #1 and a bigger guy on the otherside...he can take the top off a defense. Id love to have him as a complementary WR...just wouldnt take him with expectations to be the #1.

I'd be surprised if we stay at #8 at this point. I expect the Browns to be the most active team out there this year as the analytics guys start putting their stamp on this franchise.

Fuller isn't a #1. At best, he's DeSean Jackson. Sure, there's a fit for someone, but I just don't see him being more than a 50-60 catch guy. I guess if he hits to be D-Jax, he's worth a first rounder, but I'd rather have a polished WR who is a more consistent threat.

Obviously my opinion, but I'd take Shepard before him because I think he has the "it" factor that could make him Antonio Brown/Odell Beckham...and at the low end, John Brown or Emmanuel Sanders.

Already tired of the "moneyball" and "analytics" comments. These are football decisions, and have little to do with analytics. They are in a complete rebuild and need players at every position. It is as simple as that.

With this approach though, knowing it's going to be somewhat different than many other teams, it would make sense to continue to compile as many picks as possible. Heck, if the Browns make a few more downward moves and end up drafting 14-15 players in this draft, if they are right on 5 or 6 of them, they could be contenders in 2017. The NFL isn't a long-term league anymore, you can go worst to first in 2 years or less with good drafts.

I've also seen Fuller from ND as the top wr taken. Think those two will be a coin flip for first wideout taken.

I wouldn't mind either of them.
Fuller sucks, 1 trick pony (speed) with suspect hands. No thanks.

I'm ok trading down but anything past 15 and you better get a bunch of picks for it.
I also don't want Fuller. I'd have him way down the list of WR's.

It appears that #7-#15 appear to be the same value this year, and the Browns have a lot of need.

Which is why I'm cool with going down to anywhere up to 15. After 15, we gotta get a ton of picks or I wouldn't do it.

So Vegas is predicting Browns go 0-16 this season. I'm all in...let's go full 76'ers on this season.

    lol are they seriously?

You can't seriously want that. 0-16 is an automatic reboot (again) of the front office and coaching staff.
  • Automatik
Regardless of the outcome of this season they need to stick with Jackson. 3 seasons, AT LEAST. You can't make a trade like they just did and give up after 1-2 seasons.
  • Azubuike24
I don't care how little talent or in disarray an organization is in, I'd take the prop bet that they won't go winless. Only one team in history has gone winless in a full season that wasn't their expansion year, the 2008 Lions.

There is no way this would happen, regardless of record. Even Haslem has to know it will take time, and he must be on board with this tear down/ build up. Now if they go 1-15 in year two, then the seats may start getting hot.

No way they fire Hue after 0-16. What Cleveland needs, is it's fans and media to completely understand what the plan is for this year/future. They've got to go into this year knowing that losing every game is a legit chance. If you get some of these idiot fans/media start whining and complaining and making noise, that's when the front office does something dumb and makes a dumb decision. Go into this year knowing that "hey, we're going to be awful...and that's ok. It's past management's fault we're where we are...this is how we get ourselves out."

No chance the Browns go 0-16.

    I'll predict early, Browns 3-13.
  • Sonofanump
I foresee RG3 winning 2 games he shouldn't bumping them to the #3 pick next year.

    Meanwhile across the ocean...

I'll be more optimistic/pessimistic after the draft.

I think RG3 is terrible and with Gordon still being a POS I don't see many play makers on offense. I think defensively we will be okay but nothing elite tier that can carry the woeful offense. We won't score points and we won't hold teams to under 14ppg so I see some scrappy wins against some junk teams.

I don't think the problem is the fans. The fans are the most tolerant and flexible fans in the entire NFL(or at least top 3). I, as a fan, am okay with rebuilds but the issue is we've been told to be patient and wait for this "plan" to come together but we seem to have to reset this plan every few years since the return.

What I want to see is year over year improvement to field a competitive team. If year 1 is straight terrible(2-3 wins), then next year we better beat that and the following year, etc. If we don't improve, I don't see a reason to keep the coaching staff around as their plan isn't working.

I agree, he has talent, but horribly inconsistent, I think the Browns will be 2-7 when he starts. 1-6 when someone else does when he gets hurt running out of the pocket.

I am hopeful that he can turn it around but I have my doubts. It's hard to believe a player who can't hack it on the Redskins can come make the Browns a contender.
