I took a lot of shit for saying they would/should trade down and get extra value picks.

Wonder if the Browns would consider throwing an offer at Josh Norman.

The NBA is the easiest to change your fortune.

I disagree, but a large margin. It's the hardest.

Before or after they had their choice at QB taken from under their nose?

It would be nice to get Norman and then draft bosa. Would go a long long way in the rebuild.

I don't want to pay him the big money he wants when he's 32/33 yrs old. Love to get him on a 2/3 yr deal.

    Agreed on that

Ehh. Corners can last a while in the NFL. He was a top 3 CB last year. I would be okay with a 4 year deal.

late Jan/February,,,,#1473 1475 early #1500's or thereabout. The team needed to upgrade 14 to 17 positions, and that was BEFORE Mack, Benjamin, etal. left for FA or were released. It really wasn't rocket science what they needed to do. the team needed a lot of high value picks in the draft....and now they'll have more than a handful in the top 100....plus a couple of very good picks the next 2 years.

Then you should've been laughed at, IMO. Would be a bad deal to pass up on your pick of QB...

Like CoA, i'm fine with the CB corp right now. As poor as the Browns have been rushing the QB, any secondary would look bad. I think Stanley is the pick at 8. Not a flashy pick, but a needed one. Then I work on D-line, LB, and WR the rest of the draft.

I'm happy with our corners. I'm just saying if we've got the cap room and can get a pro bowl corner why not? Age doesn't really scare me with DB's. If it does to you then just difference of opinion.

Browns always have a lot of cap room, because they are garbage lol. They could always front load a deal for a star and then it won't matter how shitty he is in his 3rd or 4th year when he is older.

    There you go lol

With that being said, I have always been a believer of building a team thru a draft.

I was kidding hence the 50 part.

Not going to argue the point anymore, but once they brought in the moneyball guys, what they were going to do, and what they wanted to do was as plain as the nose on your face.

They were not going to pay #2 pick money for a guy to learn on the bench, or throw him out there with no supporting cast. Every move they made pointed to yesterday's deal.

The Browns now have 12 picks...6 of those are in the top 100.... plus 4 top 50 picks(probably) next year.

Draft strategy is pretty simple...best player available.

Those were all value picks and not "sure thing" high draft choices. #2 in the draft must be a sure thing.

The more I've thought about it, the more I think the Browns should trade down, grab another 2nd or 3rd (depending how far down they go) and target a WR in the middle of RD1.

I agree with this. That's why I asked earlier where Treadwell is being projected? From what I've seen/heard...he's #1 WR right?

High teens, low 20's. I've seen a few mocks that had him 10th but I doubt that.

I've also seen Fuller from ND as the top wr taken. Think those two will be a coin flip for first wideout taken.

I wouldn't mind either of them.
