I've watched quite a bit of fuller being an ND fan. The kid can play and he just has that play making ability to him like Jackson does. Is he someone you want as a number 1 guy? No but he's a great number 2 behind Gordon. And would be a hell of a lot better than Benjamin. What really sold me on fuller was when he just completely destroyed Adoree Jackson from USC.

This is not why he got fired, but he was and is FAR from an ND lover lol. I mean, he went to BC, worked for CBS, ESPN, abc. Now primarily with NFLN. Just because NBC was a stop on his career path doesn't mean he loves ND.

But yeah, from my season working with him and the rest of the ND crew for ND, he does not love them. He, along with all of us, get to know them best as it's the team you cover 8 times versus 8 other teams just once. But not many people care if they win or lose. It's nice to see them do well for ratings purposes, but nobody cares. I'd say most, including Mayock, hated ND more than Loved them. But for the most part it's somewhere inbetween.

Good to know haha. I was just figuring a reason why. I didn't say he was a ND homer.

Yeah didn't mean to insinuate you, just was responding to your post.

A lot of guys get lumped into that description though. NBC is a career path that people sometimes need to take, despite their relative lack of business with traditional sports. Football they have ND and SNF, plus random nbcsn games. So, yeah, if they ask, you accept. But I don't think it means anyone actively is a fan. I think some sort of success means their careers will be better off, and the job is just more fun when your working games that "matter" so maybe some bias in that regard. But Hammond, Mayock and Flutie etc aren't fanboys.

Heard some stupid shit that Carson Wentz was getting scrutinized for some anti-gay comment that he made on Twitter.........

    In 2009.......

Pretty sure he was 16 years old at the time.

These guys will try to dig up anything.

Lol I'm glad I am not in the public spotlight, because all the shit I said/heard from HS thru College in my fraternity would prevent me from getting any job in this day and age.

Definitely. I didn't get on twitter until like 2011 or 2012 and I rarely ever post anything on it. But I can't imagine all the shit I put or was associated with on facebook back when I was in college. I know I most certainly said/did a lot of shit too that I'm thankful there really wasn't too much cell phone video at the time.

I've had candidates that I was trying to place not get jobs because of the content of some of their social media accounts. Companies have become more savvy about looking at that stuff.

Short answer is he and the Producer, Rob Hyland, didn't see eye-to-eye on a few things. Not going to give out specifics on someone's livelihood.

Welp, prob say goodbye to Schwartz. SMH, dumb to let him walk IMO.

Only guy I really wanted them to keep. Mack would be nice, don't care about Benjamin and Gipson for what they think they are worth.

Anyone see bradfords new contract... Geesh

I don't get it? So your insinuating that someone who's job is DIRECTLY affected by the performance of notre dame doesn't want them to do well, but the announcer who will further his career by being objective does?? I'm so lost as to why you think he is a homer. Only thing I can think of is you blindly made that assumption because he announced ND for 5 years and, within those broadcasts you picked apart his analysis and made it for your narrative, much like every fan base does with every damn announcer.

They are going to be a young team. I'd like them to keep a few of these guys but am skeptical that any of them stay.

you're reading too much into my post--I was only responding to the answer you gave to my question of "why was Mayock fired at NBC"...geesh

    Mack is gone.
  • SportsAndLady
    Damnit losing Mack sucks
  • BR1986FB
If he doesn't stay in Cincinnati, I'd think Minnesota (and Zimmer) would have the upper hand (although I'm not sure of their cap number)....

Fucking browns playing penis flickers. Not tagging Schwartz should be a fireable offense.
  • Mulva
I'm confident that we can lose just as well without them.
