He can gain some weight. I think where he has an advantage over Wentz is his football acumen. I think Wentz has better physical tools but a lot of times that doesn't mean shit.Commander of Awesome;1783045 wrote:Yeah skinny knees. 2/10 would not draft -
iclfan2From all I've heard, both wentz and goff would be below Marion's and Winston.
Also, take the best qb period. If you think wentz will be better but will take a couple years of fine tuning TAKE HIM. We aren't winning now anyway.

Commander of AwesomeMKC reporting browns have made offer to schwartz, but thinks he'll hit the market SMH.
Also, Goff and Wentz next to each other. Get a sense in the size difference.

Heard Browns beat reporter Darryl Ruiter (92.3) reporting from the Combine that some of the local "buzz" is that there isn't a QB worthy of that #2 pick and Jackson made some kind of comment about "we're taking a QB in this draft, just may not be at #2." Obviously could be smoke.iclfan2;1783059 wrote:From all I've heard, both wentz and goff would be below Marion's and Winston.

And it sounds like Jackson's mindset is "we want them here but if they want to leave, leave."Commander of Awesome;1783088 wrote:MKC reporting browns have made offer to schwartz, but thinks he'll hit the market SMH. -

This fits Hits' approach of trying to trade down. Just two issues, who would do it and how far can you go without fucking over getting the guy you want?BR1986FB;1783091 wrote:Heard Browns beat reporter Darryl Ruiter (92.3) reporting from the Combine that some of the local "buzz" is that there isn't a QB worthy of that #2 pick and Jackson made some kind of comment about "we're taking a QB in this draft, just may not be at #2." I still think there is about 97% we end up with Goff or Wentz after the #2 pick. -
iclfan2Ruiter is a bit of a douche. And it doesn't matter if someone is "worthy" or not, we need one, period. My best friend is at the combine (and a well known, well respected draft analyst, and Browns fan), so I will see what he has to say after this week is up.

I agree with both counts. Think they will end up with a QB at 2. I'd be pissed if they took Bosa at 2 and ended up with someone like Hackenberg at 32.like_that;1783093 wrote:This fits Hits' approach of trying to trade down. Laley23Shouldn't trade down if they were still intent on taking a QB. All it does is risk not getting your guy when you are currently guaranteed to get him.

BR1986FBBelieve Jackson discussed hand size yesterday.

Crimson streak9 for the hands is better than I expected. Should be alright.

SportsAndLadyWho gives a shit about his hand size lol

That's one of those things that give scouting "gurus" chubbies, despite how there's probably no real evidence stating big hands are a necessity to throw a football.SportsAndLady;1783212 wrote:Who gives a shit about his hand size lol

Hand size has long been a boogeyman of sorts when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks, the idea being that guys with smaller hands can’t grip the ball in cold weather or put as much zip on their passes. I have no idea of there’s any real empirical data to back this assumption up—Alex Smith, Tony Romo, and Michael Vick all had small hand measurements at their combines, for what’s it worth—but the ol’ gunslinger Brett Favre has huge hands, so that’s enough to get scouts all worked up about hand size. -

Actually, you do. If a QB has baby hands they aren't going to have an easy time holding on to the ball and it's likely going to affect the way they throw.SportsAndLady;1783212 wrote:Who gives a shit about his hand size lol

An NFL football will measure 11" long with a 22" circumference at the midway point. Unless it is being used by the Patriots (joke Pats fans, joke), the air pressure should be between 12-1/2 psi and 13-1/2 psi.
A college ball (D1) will be just slightly smaller (1/2" in length and 1" circumference). While the NFL ball is only slightly larger, it still seems to play a part in the drafting of QBs. Hand size is scrutinized as much as anything. As we learned from the 'deflate-gate' issue, grip is very important.

I get that it helps. But there are plenty of examples of successful NFL qbs with hands less than 9 inches.BR1986FB;1783215 wrote:Actually, you do. If a QB has baby hands they aren't going to have an easy time holding on to the ball and it's likely going to affect the way they throw.

queencitybuckeyeI swear the majority of teams would do better if the draft was held two weeks after the Super Bowl without all of the nonsense that has little or nothing to do with the main question: can this guy play?

Yeah, I can see that. I'd rather not chance it though.SportsAndLady;1783220 wrote:I get that it helps. But there are plenty of examples of successful NFL qbs with hands less than 9 inches. -
BR1986FBDuh? Why wouldn't they with the limited amount of talent on this squad?
From everything I've seen & heard, it looks like Gordon is in, pardon the expression, beast mode. Looks like he's in incredible shape & focused on returning.

Gotta love how goodell is taking the full 60 days to make a decision on his reinstatement. He is such a piece of shit. I wasn't exactly going out on a limb, but I called this at the time that Gordon applied for reinstatement.BR1986FB;1783227 wrote:Duh? And it listed Alex Smith, Tony Romo, and Michael Vick. Hardly a list of world beaters.like_that;1783261 wrote:Heretic already posted an article.
Smith is the definition of mediocre, Romo while good is a fumble machine (and hurt) and Mike Vick is probably the most athletic person to every play the position. -

LOLfail that you think Romo is a fumble machine. Maybe you should go do some research and not listen to whatever BSPN tells you. Here is a list of currently players and their fumbles. This is just for regular season as it was easier to do.Commander of Awesome;1783263 wrote:And it listed Alex Smith, Tony Romo, and Michael Vick. Hardly a list of world beaters.
