And he's been in the league EIGHT years. He's not fine wine....he's more like a car that ready to go into depreciation mode. Get something while there's value if this is a blowup situation.
I still can't stop laughing at this post. I mean, what the fuck?

If our next GM is Sashi Brown that would be a fucking joke

    smdh...embarassing.

I like the moves. Farmer and Pettine were chumps. Now the question is can Haslam find the right GM and the right coach. I am not sure they can. But I sure am glad farmer and Pettine are gone.

SI reporting Doug Marrone gets the first interview.

JFF1: Reported this on @SNFonNBC re Manziel: Browns require players in concussion protocol to be seen by team medic at 9 am on Sunday …

JFF2: … even if they’re not playing. Manziel didn’t show up Sunday. Browns couldn’t reach him on phone. At this point I can tell you …

JFF3: … Browns are so done with the guy. I will be stunned if he ever plays another snap for Cleveland. He wants to go to Dallas.

Interviewing Tuesday, so either they're doing this ass backwards again or they already have a GM lined up. Which means it's probably Sashi.

Johnny not being here is going to be a tough pill to swallow.

Pettine ruined him with the way he handled him, and it took away his love of football knowing the head coach detested him no matter what he did.

You don't really believe that do you? JFF is a fucking joke and will rot away wherever he goes.

Fucking Christ. Head coach being hired first, GM after with head coach's input. Sashi Brown confirmed to have control over roster.

    Edit: Per Daryl Ruiter
  • ts1227
    Haslam confirms coach, then GM

Sashi Brown is VP of football operations
  • Ironman92
Yeah, just saw on Twitter that new HC will help choose GM

    This organization is fucking hopeless.

If this is true, we shouldn't give him what he wants. I bring him back, and he can ride the pine the entire year, give him the RG3 treatment.
  • shook_17
They are doing this all backwards yet again. What a joke. This dude has no experience with NFL talent.
  • ts1227
Not sure what good a GM in there for "talent aquisition" does when a guy who will be trying to accomplish the football version of Moneyball has the final say on the roster.

Temping as that may be, recognize the error, get a late pick or bag of balls if you can, otherwise dump him and start again.

    Yeah, this.

Make his ass third string the entire year. Don't even entertain trade offers, if they even come in.
  • shook_17
No quality GM will come here. Book it.

Agreed. You don't act out revenge unless you're still in high school...especially when trying to resurrect a business worth some $1.5 billion.

Gotta love how Haslam hasnt learned his lesson yet. Hire a fucking coach before the GM? Allow mr. analytics to have the final say on the roster? Didn't we already do this with Banner and it failed miserably? SMFH.
