Only thing I saw was somebody made a fake Ian rappoport account and some people are falling for it.HighRoller74;1760565 wrote:Supposedly the Broncos have offered the Browns a 1st round pick for Joe Thomas. -
Commander of AwesomeWould you guys trade browns last 8 1st round picks for Thomas? I would.
Browns should ask for 9 1st round picks. -
shook_17Browns wanted their first and Shaq Barrett a young promising LB. a third rounder for Mingo too

SportsAndLadyDon't think they should accept a first round pick, but also don't think Denver is going to give up a first round pick for Thomas.
I don't think he's going anywhere but that's just my guess. -

No team in their right mind is giving up a 1st for Thomas. In the same breath, the Browns should be asking no less than a 1st rounder for him. If they are going to dump him, teams need to overpay.SportsAndLady;1760572 wrote:Don't think they should accept a first round pick, but also don't think Denver is going to give up a first round pick for Thomas.

Even if it were the real Rappoport, it would likely be wrong. Dude is wrong about 102% of the time.like_that;1760568 wrote:Only thing I saw was somebody made a fake Ian rappoport account and some people are falling for it. -

✔ @AdamSchefter To be specific, Browns were asking two 1st-round picks for OT Joe Thomas. They won't get that.

Just reading the headlin ehere, but I actually think a lot of this is on the coaching. Playing Bademosi over Gilbert/Desir is a fireable offense. Not taking McClown out, putting your defensive players in a position to fail etc... all on coaching.BR1986FB;1760612 wrote:Read it and weep....

In the article, he takes Pettine to task and doesn't give him a free pass. Pettine is not a good HC but Farmer is a terrible talent evaluator. -
IggyPride00Either Pettine and Farmer both stay, or they both go.
We can not have another Holmgren/Mangini forced marriage that we all know will end up as a wasted year when the new GM fires Pettine after year 3 if they only replaced Farmer.
It's just the way it is. -

Not necessarily. I don't want Farmer to stay, but in the scenario who painted, he's the only one that could realistically stay.IggyPride00;1760664 wrote:Either Pettine and Farmer both stay, or they both go.

I believe Banner & Lombardi hired Pettine with Farmer's blessing. Pettine wasn't Farmers guy.
If Pettine is released, Farmer can select his own guy. If Farmer is released, Pettine likely loses his job in year 3 because he wasn't the new GM's guy.
With all of this being said, I'd trade them both for a soiled diaper, at this point. They suck. -

I didn't even envision a scenario in which Farmer could stay, because he has been historically bad in his tenure. Even Jimmy can't be that delusional. That is why I said Pettine by default has to go if Farmer goes.BR1986FB;1760672 wrote:Not necessarily. News of Alec Scheiner starting to move in on football decisions tells me Jimmy has no control over the building right now and chaos reigns. Scheiner is becoming a mini Banner it sounds like, and we don't need bean counters making football decisions.
There is just a huge power vacuum in Berea because everyone knows that everyone else is terrible at their job, so everyone is trying to build a coalition to place the blame elsewhere when the bottom soon falls out.
Pettine had a chance to rise above the fray by showing some leadership and getting rid of O'Neil as a show of good faith that stupidity won't be tolerated, but he clearly values O'Neil more than his job.
We need people committed to the Browns first and foremost, and that is not something you can say about anyone in that building.
