sleeperWarriors or Cavs, December 25. Predicitions?
Cavs by 10. -
SportsAndLadyI think the Warriors squeek this one out because kyrie is just getting back to playing.
Media will overreact.
Cavs will beat warriors in the finals to shut everyone up. -

I think GSW win this one. Not sure if I'll go all in with you with a squeek win. GSW are tough to play at home, that arena is legit. The players are cocky as shit, and the fans will be behind them. I just hope we play def on Curry, and MAKE HIM PLAY DEFENSE. I've watched most of GSW's games this season, no team goes at him defensively. Doesn't make sense to me.SportsAndLady;1771095 wrote:I think the Warriors squeek this one out because kyrie is just getting back to playing. -

I think this is the biggest key. Much easier to play strong offensively when you get to guard Delly on defense rather than someone like Irving.Commander of Awesome;1771098 wrote:I think GSW win this one. Midstate01Watch how Milwaukee played them. And Boston. They gave you the blueprint. Both of them went right at curry offensively. He doesn't play defense. Be physical with him, he's small.
Also GS won't be in the finals. The spurs will be, and they scare me much more than GS does. -
Ironman92I'll go Golden State 108-96 on Christmas

This. I also don't understand my no one puts him on his ass the few times he does drive the lane.Midstate01;1771102 wrote:Watch how Milwaukee played them. And Boston. They gave you the blueprint. Exactly. As great of a talent Curry is on offense, defensively he lacks the attributes to play. I'm not saying he's a lazy defender like Harden or anything, but he's not a physical player.Midstate01;1771102 wrote:Watch how Milwaukee played them. And Boston. They gave you the blueprint. Exactly. If the Cavs were to play some old school physical ball and plant him when he drives the lane, he'd have to settle for jumpers. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty damn good outside shooter but it might take away one facet of his game. The problem is, the Cavs are kind of soft when it comes to physical play.superman;1771106 wrote:This. I also don't understand my no one puts him on his ass the few times he does drive the lane. -

It's not just the Cavs. The whole league is soft.BR1986FB;1771111 wrote:Exactly. I like to know who you think isn't a soft team.BR1986FB;1771111 wrote:Exactly. Uhh, did you not watch the entire playoffs last year, especially the Bulls series?BR1986FB;1771111 wrote:The problem is, the Cavs are kind of soft when it comes to physical play. -

Good point.superman;1771133 wrote:It's not just the Cavs. The whole league is soft. -

Is it? I think it's a pretty dumb statement. Right up there with, college basketball is better because the players care more.BR1986FB;1771137 wrote:Good point. -
like_thatI'm just wondering how you can say the cavs are soft after (allegedly) watching their playoff run last year.

It's BR. I'd be shocked if he actually watches Cleveland sports more than every so often. He doesn't even go to games. Probably catches highlights from sports center and reads hot takes!! articles about the teams.like_that;1771140 wrote:I'm just wondering how you can say the cavs are soft after (allegedly) watching their playoff run last year. -

I think the whole league is soft compared the late 80's and early 90's. Its better basketball now, but it's softer.Commander of Awesome;1771138 wrote:Is it? I think it's a pretty dumb statement. Right up there with, college basketball is better because the players care more. -

You're right. Better athletes and a better game now but MUCH softer.superman;1771143 wrote:I think the whole league is soft compared the late 80's and early 90's. Its better basketball now, but it's softer. -

Sorry, I'm not one of you Millenial "p#ssies" who think you're the greatest generation. I've seen the 70's, 80's, 90's, etc eras of basketball. Guys like Seth Curry would've gotten their heads taken off and sent to the hospital by goons like Rick Mahorn or Anthony Mason.SportsAndLady;1771142 wrote:It's BR. What was a "omg...a FLAGRANT foul" in today's league was pretty standard basketball during the Detroit Bad Boys era. Shit, the Price/Daugherty/Nance group that played them was scared shitless & intimidated by them.
Like I said, today's brand of basketball may be more athletic but it used to be a helluva lot more physical.
There's your "hot take", dumbass. -
SportsAndLady
If any of those "bad boys" from Detroit did that today, they'd be kicked out of basketball.BR1986FB;1771151 wrote:Sorry, I'm not one of you Millenial "p#ssies" who think you're the greatest generation. Lol @ saying because the players of today play by a more strict set of rules, that they're pansies who don't like being touched.
Hell, half the damn players in the NBA are getting recording beating people up in nightclubs, you don't think they'd be doing it in games if the current rules are "there are no rules"? -
SportsAndLadyI mean you're basically saying because the NFL came down on targeting and helmet to helmet hits and because we see less of that now, that the players are huge pansies now compared to the old days. It's just a dumb argument.
