Jr going full 2015 Finals Jr

Lol. Lebron and Love missing point blank shots while Livingston can't miss.

Yeah, I've seen enough. We ain't beating this team 4 times.
  • Lovejoy1984
    JR no-showing another finals.

Really needed to take one of the first two at GS. Obviously that's not happening tonight, so Cleveland better get it done in Game 2.

Can't stand the damn Warriors. I hope we can steal game 2 but not a very opportunistic game

    That was an easy prediction

    Hey JR. Thanks for coming.

They have had our number since game 4 last year. Every game it's two new guys who turn into max players for a night.

Probably an idiot, but I'm optimistic. Yes were getting beat, but it's because role players are making shots. We shut down the 2 guys we had to. Add to it we can't make shots that we normally do, I'm not feeling the sweep stuff
  • Ironman92
    Is Livingston visible?
  • friendfromlowry
Just mindblowing how awful the defense has been.

I can't take any more of Curry. Throw your mouthpiece because you're such a fucking badass, Steph.

I wish someone would just fucking annihilate that little douche bag!!

I don't think a sweep is happening either, but I disagree with your comment about role players because it seems like you're implying that won't continue. The Warriors bench led the league in FG% last year and finished 2nd this year behind San Antonio. They went 73-9 because most nights Curry/Thompson don't get shut down AND the bench plays very well.

If our only hope is for the role players to start sucking, then we're probably fucked. Fortunately I think the Cavs can and will play much better, particularly on offense.

But I think we're going to have to go 3-0 at home. I can't see more than 1 win in Golden State.

I disagree, defense for the most part was pretty good. Can't do much, with Livingston turning in to Curry and just rising up over smaller defenders.

He was left alone for 3-4 of his FG makes

At least one of his jumpers was over TT. And the defense can't be "well shucks he's really feeling it and JR/Irving are smaller than him so oh well." They went on a 21-4 run after the Delly/Iggy incident and eight of those points were him finding his way into the paint and hitting 12-14-foot jumpers.
How do you lost by 15 points and play "pretty good" defense?

From about 12 feet out. The shots he made over TT and Kyrie were both tough, but he definitely got free too much too close to the hoop.

Because the Warriors just make shots? They have all season, even when you play good defense, good shooters are still gonna make shots.

But I also think the gameplan was to shut down Klay/Steph and let the roleplayers beat us....and they did. So maybe change things up a bit, but overall the defense played well on those two.

I agree, for the most part it was good D. There was some head scratchers when guys were left wide open due to someone not rotating. But a lot of contested jumpers they made, and a TON of turnovers and missed bunnies. Lebron won't play like that again.

Agree to disagree. I don't think you can play pretty good defense and lose by 15 - even to GSW. How many of them not named Curry/Thompson/Green had decent if not great games? Livingston? Barnes? Bogut? Barbosa? Iguodala? It wasn't one role player stepping up and having a lucky game - they all did. I don't think it's coincidence. They focused on Curry and Thompson so much and forgot the rest of these guys can kill them as well.

    Hahahaha no more since 64
  • friendfromlowry
I think the key is do they have a strategy for containing Curry/Thompson, or was that a one time fluke? I agree the defense on those two was mostly good, but awful on everyone else. IMO, the series will be tied 2-2 after game four. If they can have another game where they limit Curry/Thompson and trade some points from their role players to ours, then we'd be in good shape.

I am going to say something very unpopular. As a Cleveland FAN, as a person who wants the curse of Lake Erie lifted more than anyone in here.

When the lead change exchange happened in the 3rd.....and they went from 1 up to 12 down, as soon as that happened. LeBron should have taken the game over. Not Irving, not Love, Lebron. When it started getting out of hand again, our all world, all league all star, should have saw, WELL, our 3 point dagger all off season isnt hitting, our slasher inside threat isnt getting his out of control finger rolls to drop, he should have tried to take the game over.

If THAT didnt work, he should have went into the post game and said, I tried my best.

Being THAT far down and coming back after halftime, your all world player needs to take over if the wheels come off. While the wheels came off in that 3rd quarter, he let Irving shoot more than I could imagine, and facilitated to make everyone happy. At least Love was hitting shots so we didnt get beat by 40. Irving only scored because he was at the line.

Take over a game, own it, he wants to emerge from Jordan's shadow so badly, just DO it.....or so they say.

Not really that unpopular. Those shitty shots he settled for after coming back was just inexcusable. Especially when it seemed like Love came to play. This was a result of Lue letting Lebron play the entire 2nd and 3rd quarter. Cavs are beating the Warriors 4 times, but if they want to win they are going to need the role players to grow the fuck up, so Lebron can get some rest.

So far if you count the regular season games, every game against the Warriors has been a continuation of game 4 last year smh.
