Will Brady be punished?

  4 games is what I expected. Appealed down to 2, probably.
  
  The NFL seems to have treated this more like Sean Payton. The lying that he had no knowledge seems to be the bigger crime than the actual crime. The NFL has shown through the years it hates liars more than cheats lol.

  They also said that Brady was uncooperative in terms of turning over electronic media/other things that might have helped support his assertion that he didn't know anything. Also cited was the Patriot's past history of cheating.

  I agree, but I don't think a 4 game suspension keeps them out of the playoffs, which is what really matters.
  
  Also saw this and I don't think the punishment fits the crime, especially since they brought up spygate, how can you punish a team again for something they were already punished for?
  

  Why do I think this has been made to be a bigger deal than it is? I go back to the Vikings-Panthers game from November, with teams illegally heating footballs on the sideline and simply getting a warning from the NFL, and wonder how we got to this point with the Patriots and underinflated footballs. I go back to the Chargers using an illegal sticky substance on towels in 2012 and getting fined $25,000, and likewise wonder how we got to this point with the Patriots and underinflated footballs. Put the three situations together and only one requires a full-fledged investigation that will cost owners millions of dollars? In the interest of fairness, what am I missing? Add in comments from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers about his preference for overinflated footballs, and this New York Times story on Eli Manning and his football preparation, and it just seems we've gone off the rails here.

  Why wasn't Gotskowski suspended for not giving up his phone and cooperating in the investigation? The NFL doesn't have subpoena power, he didn't have to give up his phone.

  It implies nothing. It's his personal phone, I wouldn't give up mine either. Lets compare this to Ray Rice punching his wife and Brett Favre sending dick pics and sexually harassing massage therapists. Rice got 2 games and Favre was fined with no suspension. It's implied that Brady knew and he gets 4 games, plus $1m fine and 2 draft picks? GTFO.

  Patriots could start 0-4 and still make the playoffs. All that matters. My point is, the punishment doesn't fit the findings, especially compared to other incidents.
