2015 NFL Regular Season Chatter

..and Pouncey hurt for the Steelers. He's absolutely vital to their line.

As for Jordy, I honestly can't even watch my team's preseason games. All I fear is every play there's an injury. This completely changes GB. Sure, Cobb can be a #1, Adams might be able to be a #2, but they are nowhere near as potent offensively without the Nelson/Cobb combo and their defense is trash.

Good God what happened to Pouncey? Get rolled? He is crucial.

    Hate the news on Nelson.

On ankle so hopefully not out all the season or hopefully even half....but not holding breath. Sucked losing Suisham also as he was very very reliable for 3.

Probably looking at a month or two recovery time after the surgery, depending on how bad it is.

Such a demanding position to have leg injuries. I don't know how the hell Bruce Mathews and those type players did it....always someone falling into the knees and ankles awkwardly.

It was a fluke play too. He was slightly in front of Bell who got tackled, and rolled on his ankle. There's a fine line between wanting to continue through the play and block versus watching your surroundings and trying to avoid this stuff.

Dalton playing like it's a MNF game against Pittsburgh in November.

Funny. Green completely had a mental midget moment, cost Dalton a pick 6. Announcers spend 5 minutes talking about how Green is as much to blame for lack of postseason success as Andy. Next drive, 2nd play, Dalton misses Eifert in the seam by 3 yards for an INT.

    Thank goodness it's pre-season.

...and Ryan Mallett must really suck.

I don't think Mallet sucks but he isn't a starter. Hoyer has the mentality of a starter and is a leader. He just doesn't have the gifts. I would take him over McCown to be honest.

Foster is out at least 25% of the year, more like 50% (or more). You're in the same division as the Colts. Every wild card winner in the AFC has won at least 10 games for as long as I can remember. They wait all off-season, don't draft a QB at all, go with Hoyer?

I mean, are they expecting their defense to be the 2000 Ravens or are they happy with 8 wins?

They should be ecstatic with 8 wins. They'll be lucky to get 5.

Oh I agree, yet they have the best defensive player in the last decade, signed Vince Wilfork and overall, have built one of the top D's in the NFL.

Yet, neglect the offense in a way. I would understand if they were rebuilding...

They signed Hoyer, who showed promise last year with the Browns. In today's NFL, that's about as good as you can do at QB until you hit in the draft. Thought they were all set with Foster at RB. Went WR in rounds 3/5 of draft.

    Not necessarily

With 4 games against the Jags and Titans?

A lot of my steelers fans right now are going, "no thanks on Vick, I don't put up with dog killers."

Oh, but you're cool with rapists? Got it.

Don't forget al Qaeda sympathizes (Rashard mendenhall) and women beaters (James Harrison)

Agreed. Yinzers will give me the old "but Jim Brown was a woman beater" and my response is "Jim Brown is a POS human being." Roethlisberger, Brown and Vick (at one time) were/are great players but they are subhuman scum as people.

I'll never defend Jim Brown as a person although I've heard "he's never been convicted" when talking about Ben. Neither was OJ. It would be one thing if Roethlisberger were only accused once but it was THREE times. Plus I'd heard several stories about him being a turd at Miami. Where there's smoke....but like Sir Charles would say "I'm not a role model."

    I don't want Vick because he's garbage.

    Yes. They suck.

lol, yeah. My Browns fan co-worker I BS with mentioned this to me today. It was great finding me stumble for 2 minutes to find words that were at least lukewarm instead of the verbal equal of facepalming. I think it went along the lines of, "Well, with no center for awhile, if he still has legs, he could be helpful when our cardboard line gets Ben killed. At least better than Landry Jones."

And then I spent 2 more minutes griping about Landry Jones will make more money than most people would in 50 lives to be one of the shittiest quarterbacks on an NFL roster.

I'm not sure that it's an endorsement of a potential move to say, "Well, he might not be as shitty as our current shitty back-up!" At least, with Bruce Gra needing surgery for a dislocated finger or something, Jones is the current #2. And if he's the starter, my only hope will be for the Pirates to still be playing when that happens. Fuck Vick. Fuck Jones. Fuck my life.

    -----------

And thus concludes Heretic's Editorial on This Potential Signing.

They just resigned Legurksy, so that's ok I guess.

I don't even get pissed about early injuries anymore. It seems like every year Pitts has a lineman go out at this time.
