2015 NFL Regular Season Chatter

  • thavoice
More and more chatter coming out with teams wanting to move up for Mariota.

Who knows how legit it is. Misinformation from teams, and I wouldnt doubt ESPN also is starting some of it to drive up their ratings even further.

Apparently the skins will be picking up RG three's 16 million dollar option.....

This draft needs to get here like 2 weeks ago.

See that shitshow on ESPN2 last night? A full on mock draft with guys going to the podium and all? Watched about 3 minutes and was like WTF...who would sit and watch this?
and then on Sunday night they had some video game thing on the deuce? Geesh
  • thavoice
and have to wonder if the RGIII thing is a ruse...they dont have to actually due it until the third....

Probably higher ratings than a lot of other ESPN programming.

yeah, thought of that as well. Cost/revenue analysis......probably in the end, $$-wise was better to have those two programs than to broadcast some sporting event.

The wait for the draft and the superbowl is always painfully too long. Especially when ESPN is shoving everything about them down your throat.

Going to cost him over $5.5 million. Nice.

Have a question for you all.....

NFLPA is trying to argue the Hardy suspension (of which the league sneakingly said it was for conduct unbecoming instead of under DV) should be lower since it happened under the OLD rules for DV. Makes sense.

But didnt they argue the opposite for Gordon? Didnt they say that even though the rule at the time he pissed hot was a full year that they should go under the newest rules they had just recently agreed to?

I know..whatever argument is best for the player.

Used to kind of listen and respect Charlie Casterly and liked his insight.
This video.....I dont know, seems a bit odd.

LOL that was awesome. Fucking douche. I don't watch NFL Network much but anytime I've seen that guy on I've never liked him.

Gordon fell under the new rules because it the policy was back tracked to the offenders from a certain point.

Rarely watch NFL network but when he would be on CBS or whatever channel he was on I always paid attention because he would have more insight than just the hosts usually, but this seems like he is just a little bitch! Wasnt even like it was a tough question!

I guess I just never remember him from CBS I've only known him to be on the NFL Network. And yeah that's what I loved most about it was it wasn't a hard question or even the type of thing someone should have needed prepped for.

It was CBS or maybe NBC.....not sure. Just always listened to him as he had insider info instead of just the fluff that the talking heads were tossing around. Sorta like when ESPN has clayton or Mortenson on the air.

interesting piece on a potential drought at the QB position in the NFL. Unless some of these teams adapt to the QB, instead of the QB having to adapt to a traditional NFL system, I think there are going to be a lot of busts going forward with about 98% of CFB running spread systems.....

Or the NFL hybrids a little bit and incorporates more of those type of QB's. I wouldnt expect the whole running QB to catch on, but if Kap and Wilson start to rule the league and more and more of those sorts come up (and Chip Kelly's offense still impressing) then teams may start to move a little bit into that direction.

The QBs will still need to be a passer first but the league could shift a little bit with the influx of QBs coming into CFB from HS and then CFB to the NFL.

I think it moves into that direction before it goes back to only the drop back QB's having the success. The longer this goes on, the more colleges that run it, the more likely we will start seeing QB's who have a cannon arm AND can be more mobile
