Browns Thread for Iggy Only

You obviously didn't read the rest of the post...that was a joke and it was stated that the move was a good one...IggyPride00;1733272 wrote:We call that waving the white flag. The organization clearly has no confidence in itself to improve the offense so they just admit defeat and load up at punter. They are a bunch of quitters from top to bottom and the sooner the city is rid of that Pettine/Farmer stench the better. -

And so it begins."Dwayne Bowe on Browns' Josh McCown: 'He's showing all the potential of being a top 5 QB in the NFL'"
The Koolaid in Berea is extremely strong right now it appears.
It is going to be an extremely long year, and these guys are all apparently extremely out of touch. -

Haslam is a born loser, and this is the type of mentality that keeps teams from ever turning the corner.
He is already excusing the upcoming 4-12/5-11 record everyone knows is coming by telling everyone their jobs are safe so don't even bother calling for change.
Continuity is good only if you have winners picking and coaching the talent.
Both Farmer and Pettine have shown themselves to be in over their heads and overly impressed with themselves (even though neither have any basis for such arrogance).
Everyone in Berea knows how bad it is going to be this season, but the fan base is not nearly prepared enough. When the owner comes out before a down is played and basically apologizes for having fuck-ups running the organization things are bad. Making matters worse he won't fire them, but has no problem bending over the season ticket holders with huge price increases for a losing product.
The whole group of them are like a bad plague that has ruined the Browns.
Haslam is the single biggest disappointment in the history of Cleveland sports. He puts no money in the product, but raises prices and sells off the naming rights to everything not bolted down. Ripping off customers in all walks of life is just what he does. It is sad.
Cleveland deserves better than this 2 bit con man and the Goldberg look a like pro wrestler knock off leading this organization.
To have basically told us though before the season not only is this year lost but also next year because these same clowns will be back is cruel and unusual punishment.
Usually we at least have hope for a new regime when in the midst of a shitty season, Haslam won't even let us have that this year. -
TiernanIggy - I'll give you props for being a Clowns fan that recognizes the huge pile of stink that somehow manages to outsmell the rest of the lakeside land fill which is Cleveburgh. Musta been a real circus up in Urea today with Jimmy "the Liar" Tressel sniffing around and the human turd Terrell Pryor catching passes from a cocaine addled Johnny Fuckup. Oh yeah I'm loving the disaster that is about to befall NEO. Could easily be a 2 - 14 season.

IggyPride00Good to see the usual band of suspects is out trolling hard in the other Browns thread. No training camp needed for that group, they are in mid-season form already.

When Ray and Mike are looking for new jobs next year they can thank Gilbert (who will likely be looking for a new team as well).Asked if his goal is to earn a starting job, Gilbert answered, “We’ll see what happens.”
Mike just had to have him, and Ray couldn't say no to a bad idea.
Has any GM ever done less with more than Ray Farmer?
We have had 4 #1 picks in the past 2 years, and yet still have no franchise QB, no #1 caliber wideout, no stud TE, no dominant pass rusher.
Of the past 3 years #1 picks (5 total) Shelton might be the only one starting on opening day. That is grotesque, and just speaks to the failure of having Ray Farmer in the drafting room (he was an assistant GM during the Mingo fiasco).
He has just squandered the organization's assets, and now we are poised to join Buffalo in QB purgatory where you win enough games you aren't drafting in the top 5 and you have no assets to move up and get a QB in the draft.
Take a bow Ray, this one's on you. It is why we are stuck listening to local Browns media talking about a 13 year vet in McCown (who has NEVER played a full 16 game season) likes he's Tom fucking Brady.
Good bad or ugly they need to just be playing Johnny and either tank for the draft or at least get him some experience going forward.
If Farmer and Pettine think they gain anything this year by going 5-11/6-10 with McCown to only find themselves in the same spot next off-season looking for another QB stop gap they are more delusional than even some of the drivel I am seeing posted on the other Browns thread. -
Laley23Wait, what? No franchise QB? JFF is on the team ready to lead!!!

TiernanHey Iggy my man...while I can't post over there thanks to mods with butts more sore than a Greek soccer team's towel boy...I can see other posts when not logged in. Right now the regular Clowns Mafia poster children S&L, COA and like_that are ganging up on probably the smartest and most realistic Cleveburgh fan of them all...BR. Whenever S&L is getting his face beat in during any argument he always goes with his standard..."yeah yeah but, but, but you're old and we're young so I'm right" speech. God how did the youth of today get so fkg dumb from one generation to the next?

Johnny fuckup has been tearing it up in camp. Are you a member of the 6 quarter clubbers? Manziel will eventually wreck this league as promised.Tiernan;1743793 wrote:Iggy - I'll give you props for being a Clowns fan that recognizes the huge pile of stink that somehow manages to outsmell the rest of the lakeside land fill which is Cleveburgh. Tiernan"Tearing it up in camp"!?!...what against some of the worst defensive personnel in the league???...real fucking impressive!

TiernanI see that "Toke 'Em Up" Terelle didn't even scrimmage yesterday at OSU because he had a "hamstring pull" ... This dipshit can't even play for the Clowns.

This made me laugh. You are welcome in my thread anytime Tiernan."Toke 'Em Up" Terelle -
FootwedgeManziel continues to shine. 2 touchdown passes in Columbus. Hopefully Pettine wakes the fuck up and starts Johnny in the opener. No future in throwing out there a 36 year old journeyman...even if he is 10 x better than Hoyer.
-
TiernanI'd love to see Manzier get the nod...he can't be de-capitated or paralyzed sitting on the bench.
-
TiernanDamn shame Thomas went down today...only decent O-lineman they got. 0-16 is definite possibility now.

TiernanGeno Smith gets his jaw broken after being slugged by a teammate. That is just soooo right on soooo many levels. Love it!
-
IggyPride00This team is already a laughingstock, but if they bring in Ray freaking Rice it will take it to that next level.
Only this team would bring in an old, declining radioactive running back who can't even play anymore. For the love of God make it stop.
With Geno getting his face broke today if this team some how finds a way to lose opening day they might as well forfeit the season. The Jets are in total disarray right now, and a week 1 win becomes even more of a necessity than it already was.
I also love currently that Pryor is sounding like a lock to make the team for a position he has never played all the while missing most of training camp so far. He is showing exactly zero urgency to get on the field, and he's acting an awful lot like a guy that seems pretty sure he has a roster spot locked up.
Good to know that we are so deep we can afford to carry a 6th receiver who has never played it before and can't provide any help on special teams.
I am more convinced than ever that this organization from top to bottom have no business being in the jobs they are. Jimmy has no business owning a team, Ray is incompetent, and Pettine is a man without a plan that thinks Josh McCown is the guy and we can win 13-10 every week. McCown is like a 14 year vet and has NEVER played 16 games in a season. Yet we are throwing all our eggs in that basket.
I wish there was a way to save everyone the pain and aggravation and fire them all now, because if they are really talking about Ray Rice then it just shows how dire the situation already is. They are all just completely out of touch with reality. -

If healthy and used properly by the Joker, Pryor will absolutely dominate in this league. There isn't one cornerback in this league, including Richard Sherman that will be able to stop him. 6-5. 230, gifted hands and runs a 4.35. And once that happens, the floodgates will open for these types of freak athletes to play wide receiver in the NFL.IggyPride00;1745436 wrote:This team is already a laughingstock, but if they bring in Ray freaking Rice it will take it to that next level.

TiernanPryor will never catch a pass in a regular season NFL game.

TiernanFuck I forgot Clowns play Jets 1st week and will probably get a win now with Geno out. That sucks.

IggyPride00I hope Johnny plays like a stud tonight.
I am so freaking sick of Pettine getting on his knees and fellating McCown all the time like he is the second coming of Manning/Brady.
Every second this bum spends on the field is one too many, as he has no future with this organization. We did the journeyman thing with Hoyer last year and it did us no good as it only put us on the year to year plan of having to find a new QB every off-season while still not drafting high enough to get a real stud.
Farmer/Pettine can't see past the end of their own noses, and don't believe in anything resembling long term planning which is sad.
Good bad or ugly we should be playing Johnny all year because he will either sink or swim, and then we either stick with him or draft his replacement.
What I suspect will happen though is Johnny will only play 2-3 games once we're out of it and then this off-season we will be looking for another McCown while debating about whether we have seen enough of Johnny to make a real decision yet.
This is what happens when bad organizations like the Browns let losers like Pettine/Farmer run things with no kind of plan. They are both already dead men walking and they are too stupid to realize it.
They think we are going to win 10-7 every week with that lame ass core of running backs that can't stay on the field and the bum WR position that has guaranteed a roster spot to a TP who can't even get healthy enough to get on the field.
The big shocker this season is that for a variety of reasons the defense is going to underwhelm, and it will leave Farmer/Pettine looking for jobs because they have pumped every single available resource into trying to make a middling unit seem like the 85 Bears.
I am expecting the myopia among the fan base to be quite strong tonight as everyone will be drinking the McCown koolaid, but those of us with a brain already see how this plays out this season and it is not pretty.
We have the worst skill position players and QB play in an offensive/pass happy league. That tells me all I need to know about how realistic our chances are this season. Yet in true Cleveland fashion, this team will still win just enough to screw itself for the future but not enough to do anything meaningful this year. It's like a big freaking hamster wheel. -

This team is a complete joke.
