Browns Thread for Iggy Only

  • IggyPride00
As I suspected the McCown koolaid is already being passed around heavily among the fan base right now. Won't be long before we're being told to fire up the printing press for playoff tickets.

    Heaven help us all.

    Johnny should be starting.

He's young, and can make his mistakes this year and grow towards the future.

Having a 1 year place holder so we can be right back in this spot next year is idiotic. There will never be a good time to rip off the band-aid, let's just do it now and get going.
  • IggyPride00
Why are we the only franchise that drafts young QB's and then insists on not playing them so they can go through their growing pains?

Winning organizations with successful vet QB's can do the grooming thing, but it doesn't work for bad teams like the Browns.

Throw Johnny out there and let him play.

Pettine's more concerned with winning 5-6 games with his journeymen than he is the long term growth of the franchise. It is why he will find himself in the unemployment line soon enough because the team never takes the next step.
  • Tiernan
Yeah please throw Johnny out there please.
  • IggyPride00
    This defense is wildly overrated.

Jim O'Neil is without question the worst defensive coordinator in the league, and only has his job because he is a Pettine crony who follows him around like a little puppy.

This organization is not going anywhere until they start putting people into jobs that actually deserve them.

Also, Cam Erving kind of sucks. Great that we used a 1st round pick to draft O-line depth. Nice to know we were so loaded that we don't draft guys to start anymore.
  • IggyPride00
in the first half when Shelton was on the field, the Redskins ran for 94 yards and averaged 5.5 yards per carry
Does any team in the NFL get less from their 1st round picks than the Browns? I mean honest to God, we draft a bunch of fat fucks in the first round instead of playmakers and they can't even manage to take up space properly without screwing it up.

This team is a complete abomination.

Nice to see them get off to a fast start losing the first pre-season game. We are such a winning organization though I am sure no one is worried and we will just flip the switch for that inevitable super bowl run.

You should take your schtick to Vaudeville. This can't be real. Nobody is this pathetic & miserable.

Manziel quieted all the fucksticks that claim he cant escape. So sick and tired of the Merryll Hoge's of the world saying the guy cant move. Tearman, you might get your wish...Manziel might start sooner than later...careful what you wish for.

Nah, McCowns **** is so far down Pettine's throat he'll die from a lack of oxygen before he considers starting Johnny.

This guy has a hard-on for career back-ups the likes of which would make someone like Mangini blush.
  • Tiernan
Great to see Jamison "crab legs" Winston sucking out the ass tonite

*followup...everyone agrees his debut couldn't have been worse...another joke ala Johnny
  • Tiernan
Gotta give you props Iggy...starting a thread that everyone can enter their astute observations and learned opinions without reprisals from the protectors of all things Cleveburgh.

I didn't see # Browns CB Justin Gilbert break up a pass. I think he gave up a catch every time he was targeted. Never seen such a rough day.

Some descriptors today from tweets from practice reporters, starting with the sarcastic:
    #flawless
    torched
    routinely toasted
    abused
    victimized
    overmatched
    repeatedly beaten
    comical
    embarrassment
Nate Ulhrich from the ANBJ today on Gilbert's play today at the Buffalo scrimmage.

Ray and Mike need to admit they are both a bunch of freaking morons and cut the guy. Mike is a dumbass because he can't evaluate talent for shit, and Ray is even worse for listening to his 1 year headcoach who was a 10th choice and wanted to draft the guy so desperately.

This is what happens when you put people into jobs who are so clearly in over their heads.

I am freaking sick of it. No wonder this organization is so bad. It is littered with losers from top to bottom and everyone is just OK with it and thinks its great.
  • IggyPride00
I kind of hope the Rex punks us like a bunch of prison bitches this week. I am sick of Pettine trying to make it seem like he is building a bully with this team when we are still soft as tissue paper across the board.

The defense is overrated and we can't run the ball.

Pettine is a studio gangster who doesn't have the first freaking clue about building a bully. He's the same guy that thought that not only was drafting Gilbert in the 1st round a good idea, but that we should trade up to do it. He set this franchise back years with that type of bone headed thinking.

He should be back somewhere in Pennsylvania coaching high school football. His dad was the only Mike Pettine with any real talent in that family.
  • Tiernan
Ha ha - love it Iggy "building a bully" ...that team is like Charmin on my ass they are so soft.
  • IggyPride00
They are sending out info to season ticket holders about playoff tickets right now.
if you reserve your postseason tickets by September 10, 2015, you will receive your regular season ticket price for a potential home Wild Card game.
    Home Playoff Game?

These people are fucking delusional. Ray is flat out lying to Jimmy if he or anyone in that building thinks there is going to be a home playoff game at Cleveland Browns Stadium this year.

For the love of God please put these people out of their misery. Each and every one of them.

Yeah that may very well be...but ya gotta admit the Front Office really should have made an exception for the Clowns...I mean c'mon this kinda shit is just cruel punishment for Cleveburgh season ticket holders.
  • IggyPride00
    This is embarrassing.

Farmer and Pettine should both be fired now for being that out of touch they thought this bum was a viable option.

It is going to be a looooong year.

    Take a bow you 2.

Didn't watch the first half but the stats don't lie. Hopefully they let Johnny air the ball out and continue his preseason good play.
  • Tiernan
I watched this last night just in case one of the Bills was able to get a cheap shot on Johnny or one of the Clowns was able to take out Rex on a sideline blast. Unfortunately neither happened but I did get to witness the two worst teams in their respective divisions. Cmon Pettine let Manzier have some live reps against somebody that's actually gonna be on an NFL roster sometime. 7 straight non-completions against Shane Falco & The Replacements ain't great Johnny.
  • IggyPride00
It is nice to see that the trolls on the other Browns thread have finally caught up to this one as far as what needs to be happening with this team.

As I have been correctly saying for months, McCown has no business QBing an NFL team and Johnny should be starting. Every snap McCown takes is a wasted snap that does nothing to build for the future.

This team has a serious lack of talent right now and plays with no passion. They have no difference makers at any of the skill positions, and the defense is going to be one of the most overrated in the NFL.

This team is no where near being ready to compete for anything. Ray and Mike are in wildly over their heads right now and it is pretty clear people are at least grudgingly starting to accept that.

Jimmy desperately needs to start holding people accountable for failure. We're already a joke but becoming an even bigger one as everyday passes that he allows this clown show to go on.
  • Tiernan
Let's hope Pryor gets cut this week before he ever sees a single snap.

...and more importantly just so I can own S&L and Douchekie again.

I think you should preface every one of your posts with this...

Do you have any idea how tiring that argument is? Tearman, wake the fuck up. Manziel completed his passes to wide receivers that won't even be on the team this season. I guess you can't grasp that, can you? tHe also pulled Houdini acts because his o-line are taxi squad players.

The Johnny bashers are digging deeper and deeper to discredit him. If Pettinne felt the heat last year in throwing out there the Brian Horror every week, he ain't seen nothing yet. McCown is a huge upgrade over Hoyer...but that still isn't saying much. Manziel, according to all reports has been doing just fine against the Browns number ones. McCown is on thin ice with the way Johnny is playing. A 4-12 campaign will get Pettine canned. Unlike last year, he can't afford a losing streak.
