I don't fucking care about Mariota and am not comparing them. I don't WANT Mariota unless he drops to #12 and they don't have to give up anything. What I am saying is slobbering all over Cardale, after 3 games, is comical.sleeper;1725423 wrote:He's 6'5, 250lbs who made big time throws against some of the toughest defense in college football. Over the 3 games he started, he had a 61% completion rate, 5 TDs, 2 INTs and had longs of 44, 47, 50 all on being a 3rd string QB who got barely any reps all season. The guy is an NFL QB and he will prove it again next year when he leads his team to an undefeated season, winning another national championship and likely a Heisman.
Mariota? He's a 6'4 200lb guy who won a lifetime acheievement award Heisman who couldn't get it done one time at Oregon. This is the trash you want to lead the Browns? He sucks. -

thavoiceMore I think of it....the browns wont be getting Mariota.
WHy would the titans really move down when they themselves dont have a QB? -
Dr. KnOiTaLL
They have Mettenberger who they think is a poor man's Brady.thavoice;1725439 wrote:More I think of it....the browns wont be getting Mariota.

A few of these analysts think that Mettenberger is a "1st round talent" but I get your point. If the Tits have any doubts about him, and are high on Mariota, they might as well pull the trigger because you never know if you'll be drafting that high again for awhile.thavoice;1725439 wrote:More I think of it....the browns wont be getting Mariota.

lol Whisenhunt's fetish for tall, big-armed, inaccurate QB's is mystifying. -
like_thatWhat time will the buccs officially be on the clock?

thavoiceThought I saw at 8:04.
The browns could do worse than bradford.....if he can stay healthy I think he can improve them enough to get to 10 wins. -

This is why I'm leaning more towards Bradford than Mariota. If you bring Bradford in, you're spending less in the way of draft picks. If he balls out, he likely stays in Cleveland. If he sucks ass, he's gone and they're drafting high again anyhow. Maybe that's where Cardale comes into play if he's good this year. Yes, it would suck burning a 1st rounder and getting nothing back but it's not like this franchise hasn't done it before. I want them to take a risk but not a "mortgage the future" risk by giving up multiple 1st's.thavoice;1725453 wrote:Thought I saw at 8:04.

Yeah. He cost alot this year but the browns have the cap space so that wont be an issue.BR1986FB;1725455 wrote:This is why I'm leaning more towards Bradford than Mariota. PLUS...you should still have taht second first round pick.
Just not sure how the eagles would use that to propel them to the second pick to get MM. I still think it will take more than what the eagles have to move up...unless they start getting into future first rounders. -
Benny The JetI'm against Bradford. Why bring in an already known injury-prone QB, when we're a team that the QB gets hurt every year? When was the last time a QB started 16 games for the Browns?

Simple math.Benny The Jet;1725457 wrote:I'm against Bradford. Why bring in an already known injury-prone QB, when we're a team that the QB gets hurt every year? When was the last time a QB started 16 games for the Browns?
Negative times a negative = a postive!
Good point though. Think everyone realizes that hinging the future on Manziel isnt the mose wisest of moves and everyone just throwing out ideas on ways they could be getting a QB this weekend. I think getting bradford is more likely than moving up to 2 and getting MM.
I say......25% chance for bradford, 8% for MM. -

Why lean towards Bradford at all? What has he done in his NFL career that makes you think he's going to somehow magically become a competent QB in the league?BR1986FB;1725455 wrote:This is why I'm leaning more towards Bradford than Mariota. It's weird how much time you spend discussing the Browns.thavoice;1725458 wrote:Simple math.

By no means do I think Bradford is a savior. I'm just looking for a way to get competent QB play without giving up all of the 1st's. Bradford, unlike Mariota, has some kind of track record. He's not unknown. No idea whether Bradford can win a Super Bowl but I think, when healthy, he's better than an Alex Smith or Andy Dalton and you can win with them.thavoice;1725458 wrote:Simple math.

Why not? I don't know about you but I really don't have the stomach for another 3-13 or 4-12 season.sleeper;1725460 wrote:Why lean towards Bradford at all? What has he done in his NFL career that makes you think he's going to somehow magically become a competent QB in the league? -
thavoiceHe did win Rookie of the Year and improved the Rams from 1 win to 7.

He's competent. But the injury risk is why I'm "no thanks" on him. -
sleeperHe's played 6 games in the past 2 years and hasn't played at all in over a year. That's worth a top 20 draft pick?
Come on. -
BR1986FB
If he's healthy (always an "if" with him), with the supposed running game and defense he should have behind them, he should make them a playoff contender in this division. Just tired of QB's spinning into sacks, having their daddy bitch at the front office and getting trapped under flags/flipping the ball into the air for no reason.thavoice;1725464 wrote:He did win Rookie of the Year and improved the Rams from 1 win to 7. -

And back to two wins his second year. Hasn't really done anything to even begin a discussion about being worth a top 20 pick.thavoice;1725464 wrote:He did win Rookie of the Year and improved the Rams from 1 win to 7.
I'd give up a 5th rounder for him. -
AutomatikI'd roll the dice with Manziel for one more year before I'd dump a first rounder for Bradford.
-
thavoiceI think it comes down to how antsy the browns get. If they want to try and win some this year they may go after him. If they are okay with trying the manzel experiment and possibly regressing or go with McCown.
I think the titans are just seeing what they can get and if someone absolutely blows them away they will trade it.
I think they will end up keeping the pick or get something outrageous. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLIf the Eagles trade up to number 2 and I'm the Buccs, I tell them give me assets for #1 overall or I'm taking Mariota lol. It's evident Chip wants MM badly, and I think it'd be funny if they give up a ton and then didn't get their guy haha. Unlikely, but still would be great.
