Not a big deal. Glad to see the punishment will have minimal impact.

The Browns are hitting the areas they should. Rather go irving and the brown with 12 & 19 bit cool with Shelton and flowers.

They might as well keep doing this until a legit QB comes along. If Shelton is the next "Haloti Ngata" as was implied (hopefully minus the dirty player traits) I'd have no issues drafting him.

I know not many are Peter King fans here but did anyone hear about his MMQB implying that part of the reason the Sam Bradford deal didn't go down was that Bradford wouldn't agree to resign here when he would in Philly?

Sounds like Pettine is shaking up the defense with the Taylor move and now potentially this. Moving him to OLB and letting Sheard walk do make sense...

Heard a snippet from Kornheiser & Wilbon on PTI yesterday. Sounds like they are of the belief that Farmer bought himself a couple more years by "taking a bullet" for Haslam. They believe that Haslam was doing the texting and Farmer took the fall.

That's because they are a bunch of gossiping old women. They don't know wtf they are talking about.

As for moving armonty, I like it. I think he could be a solid olb pass rusher. Still confused why it took so long for any coach to realize "well shit, Phil would fit in great at NT." The dude is huge, it was fucking obvious to everyone but the team apparently.

Really? Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't even think it's a stretch to think that Haslam could've been the one texting. When the word started to come down that someone was texting my first thought was Haslam.

    Who cares? Straight speculation gossip.

As for Phil fucking Taylor, as like_that said. Obvious to everyone except the team. As for armonty bryant, I hope this isn't another kenard lang move. Bryant is coming off a major injury, asking him to play in space now which requires more athleticism seems like a fail move to me, but we'll see. We need another pass rush at the position and that sure as hell ain't mingo.

Brown's too small to consistently play DE in a 3-4. Unless he packs on another 10-15 lbs, which could negate some of his quickness. Sheard made the transisition, although not that well.

I think Bryant will actually be best suited as an olb pass rush specialist. Will be interesting for sure

Not to mention, I fail to see the benefit of Farmer taking the fall over Haslam.

If those texts are coming from higher up the food chain, it probably means the loss of draft picks. But, as mentioned, water under the bridge.

Why would it be a fine if the GM sends the texts but loss of draft picks if the owner sends them?

Many times the higher up the chain you go the more responsible they are supposed to be.

Like when the owner of Titans(?) was flipping off the crowd, and got hit with a million dollar fine.

Where has Manziel fired the bird, and got a fraction of that.

Bengals and Cleveland Orchestra got a good one in on the Browns today.

They both had news releases of new logos. The cleveland orchestra was exactly the same, and the Bengals had a different orange. Pretty good.

Take this FWIW...Mort's missed the mark quite a bit lately when he used to be pretty reliable with his info....

Well, the skill set and aptitude he showed is a backup QB, so I would expect them to also move on to look for a starter.

They are going to have to hit on somebody in the draft. I don't see any talented/established QB's coming here.
