2015 Browns Offseason Thread

iclfan2This roster has to change. We have 6 oline and 4 Te. They must be planning on some signings. Wonder if West will be moved.
I'll take the under of the 6.5 line on wins this year.

Lovejoy1984Looks like it'll be the Crow show, glad I picked him up.

iclfan2Farmer is a proving to be terrible at evaluating talent AND character. Calling it now, wouldn't be surprised if he is gone after another non-winning season.

iclfan2Browns bringing in a 3rd string QB since Manziel still isn't ready to go. That means besides a TE going when they sign a RB, now someone else is going to get cut. A wr possibly? All signs would point to Pryor if a wideout.

If they were going to cut Pryor they would have done it already, they obviously want his talent and potential.iclfan2;1749011 wrote:Browns bringing in a 3rd string QB since Manziel still isn't ready to go. HitsRusBrowns sign former Rams QB, Austin Davis.... 4th year player out of Southern Mississippi.

They put Gaines on the IR/designated to return list. That's where we gained a roster spot for Davis.iclfan2;1749011 wrote:Browns bringing in a 3rd string QB since Manziel still isn't ready to go. Benny The JetAnd now something happened with OL coach. He's been suspended by team

Any idea why? That is very strange.Benny The Jet;1749027 wrote:And now something happened with OL coach. He's been suspended by team -

Yea, I realize that now. I was just speculating. They still need to add a RB, but that means they will probably cut a TE.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1749023 wrote:They put Gaines on the IR/designated to return list. That's where we gained a roster spot for Davis. -

He had 3 DUI's in 4 years a few years ago. Maybe he still has a drinking problem.SportsAndLady;1749029 wrote:Any idea why? That is very strange. -
Con_AlmaHe does still have a drinking problem. That's well known around Berea but apparently Andy Moeller was involved in some sort of domestic issue resulting in the police being called. My bet is he was drunk again.
-
Azubuike24WTF? Unless you're some genius guru that's producing incredible on-field results, you keep a guy on the coaching staff with 3 DUI's and STILL having drinking problems? What the fuck kind of message does that send to everyone on the roster who could possibly get suspended for one bad decision involving alcohol? That's a joke.

Teams do it with players all the time, not sure why there should be any difference with a coach.Azubuike24;1749065 wrote:WTF? Azubuike24A player who gets a DUI automatically goes on the radar of the NFL under the conduct policy. A guy with previous issues (especially 3 of them) is canned. Look at Josh Gordon...
It's a double standard, that's all. -

Several surprises there. -

What surprised you? I haven't been following depth charts if they've been updating weekly, but based on what people have been saying throughout camp the only thing that really stood out to me was Gilbert ahead of Desir.Commander of Awesome;1749315 wrote:Updated Browns Depth Chart:

Desir is hurt, that's probably the only reason. I am not speaking for COA, but im surprised at the lack of OL depth, the lack of RB depth, and the fact Bowe has fallen off so far (from the last 2-3 years) that he is considered the 5th or 6th best WR for the Browns? Yikes.Mulva;1749513 wrote:What surprised you? I guess the FO doesn't plan to make any more roster moves until Sunday's game is over. Can't imagine going the whole season with 4 fucking TEs. -

I just looked at order of players, didn't really consider position groups as a whole, but that makes sense. Bowe is a good call. I think that one might be more of a message to him than anything... I'd still be surprised not to see him out there regularly.like_that;1749515 wrote:Desir is hurt, that's probably the only reason. On 2nd look I guess Bibbs as 4th TE is surprising considering how high a lot of people have been on his possible playmaking ability. -

As like_that said, plenty of surprises. Nice fail not seeing those.Mulva;1749516 wrote:I just looked at order of players, didn't really consider position groups as a whole, but that makes sense. iclfan2Hey guys, the depth chart is a joke. Pettine doesn't even look at it sometimes, he's admitted that. The only surprising thing is that we need another rb, and no need for 4 tight ends.
Quote from Mike Pettine (summarized) "Peter John-Baptiste types it up, walks into my office, asks how it looks. Sometimes I look, sometimes I don't, but it's a very cursory glance. I don't put a lot of stock in depth charts and neither should you."
