There is a limited supply of top 10 QBs in the world, like 10 of them. They threw what they could at Flacco, not like they turned down an elite QB.

Haha Trent Richardson released again. Still can't believe we got a 1 for him.

Shane Wynn cut even after good showing in Preseason Game 2.

I think he just never improved once he got to the NFL. He doesn't have the work ethic needed to be an elite back in the NFL and tried to rely solely on his college level talent to succeed.

He's also the perfect example of why you don't spend a high draft pick on a RB.

Look at the line he ran behind in college.

I'm always optimistic every season for my brownies. I know the championship is a far shot.. I just want improvement, last season we could smell the playoffs. This year might be a playoff team. Lol don't make fun, anything's possible!!

Who said anything about "each season" being "championship or bust?" Championship is the end goal. I just want to see them pointed in the right direction at the QB position. They're not. If you think they are, you're delusional. I'm not into "enjoyable seasons" after seeing this team in positions to win championships twice and pissing down their leg.

As you said to me, take your stupid twisted "I need to debate EVERYONE because I'm a LAWYER....LOOK, I'm a LAWYER" shit to another thread. Posters can't even post without your sad ass picking apart everything they say.

There is definitely a middle ground to "championship or bust"

That middle ground isn't some win number though. I think we'll all just know if the season was successful at the end of the season.

If the season is exciting, some defensive guys step up as studs, and a QB emerges as someone for the future, I don't care if we have 2 wins or 10.

Edit: should also add that our coaching staff doesn't make boneheaded in-game decisions like every other coach we've had recently.

Also, I don't give a shit about you getting your panties into a bunch because I picked apart what you said. Don't want me to pick apart what you say? Then stop making stupid fucking posts about how winning is championship or bust. If you want to keep thinking along those insane lines, take your crying to the IQQY thread.

I want to see them headed in the right direction to at least give the impression that they could compete for one. I think the defense could be very good and the O-Line very good. The skill positions, including the most important (QB) are not very promising to me. Until they get that QB they won't even be close.

Sorry, "Mr Attorney", nowhere did I say "each season" is championship or bust but interpret it how you like. This team isn't close to being championship caliber so to assume they are going from Brian Hoyer & 7 wins to Josh McCown a championship would be foolish.

Now you're trying to say you didn't say each season is championship or bust despite your assertion that just winning some games isn't "winning" and "for me it's championship or bust".

You're looking really dumb here BR, you should just quit before you make it worse and you have to run away from this site again.

And here we go with Mr Anal Retentive/Attorney Boy and his laundry list of quotes.

In case you forgot, I'm the one who has been saying "3-13, Haslam blows it up & Mack leaves in free agency" since their season ended last year so the expectations of "championship or bust" for THIS year are a bit contradictory to what I've been saying. No need to take everything so literally, Johnnie Cochran.
  • lhslep134
And now it makes sense why you're so dramatic on here: "pretty obvious front office doesnt GAF about QB"

You're incapable of developing realistic expectations because to you, winning is championship or bust and you can't win in the middle ground (don't deny this, you literally said it yourself)

I would say competitive is my goal for the Browns right now. A tangible metric is challenging for "competitive" but I'd like to go into each week with a sense of confidence that we can win the game rather than my usual attitude of let's just not get blown out.

    Favorite preseason stat so far:
Kevin Jones ‏@Mr_KevinJones 1m1 minute ago Cleveland, OH The Browns 109 penalty yards are the fewest so far in the NFL during the preseason

Based on your expectations, what would you consider a successful season or at least a season that would satisfy you?

That won't happen this year. My expectations for this year are very low. Until they get that QB, I'm expecting very little. Unfortunately, they are probably going to have a miserable season to get that QB.

Love what I'm hearing about Pryor's "I'll do whatever it takes to help this squad" attitude. Sounds like he's been begging Tabor to play special teams. Heard they have been toying around with the idea of making him a protector on punts. That opens up a ton of possibilities (direct snap) for gadget plays that the opposition would have to respect.

I think someone is in Pryor's ear telling him that if he doesn't make it in the NFL he has no future anywhere else. OSU doesn't want to go anywhere near him so what else is he supposed to do? Sell cars?

That doesn't really answer the question. What needs to happen this year where you will be ok with the outcome?

The Cavs tanked for Lebron. Don't care if I have to dive on that grenade of a two win season as a fan as long as they get the QB. Do NOT want to see a 7 win season and Matt Cassel or Sanchez as their QB next year, continuing the cycle of QB purgatory.

So as lhslep pointed out (and you denied), you will only be happy with a championship.
