Well, I think the only way calling for a cake walk is Sleeper and, there, you're getting more of a SCORCHING HOT TAEKS!!!!!!!! thing than anything remotely resembling actual analysis.

Cake walk might have been the wrong choice of wording.

I just see a lot of "I'm not afraid of the Bulls" or "I would love to be matched up with the Hawks."

Any team can beat us in a 7 game series. Even though we'll be heavily favored, anything can happen.

Yeah, haven't we learned our lessons after the cavs lost to magic in the ecf?

The magic shot what like 70% from the 3 in that series? Ridiculous. That'll never happen again.

Any team that is physical will be a tough matchup for the Cavs. This is the main reason I'm glad they added Perkins. He won't stuff the stat sheet but they need a goon/enforcer type.

Mo Williams was our 2nd best player and he shot 37% in that series. This team is 10x more talented than that one.

This. I don't see it being easy for the Cavs, and I think a healthy Bulls team could've been a very competitive series, but this Cavs team is WAY more talented than that Cavs team that lost to the Magic.

I am aware, just making a point that I am not going to overlook any team, especially the team tja is running away with the 1 seed.

Cavs still have a decent shot at the 1 seed. I think they barely miss it and end up as the 2 seed in the East. They will wipe the floor with the Hawks in 5 games or less. I'd say a sweep but sweeps are rare in the NBA conference finals. The reality is, unless the Hawks shoot an NBA record from the 3 point line, the Cavs are just straight better and more talented. Mozgov of all people is actually what makes this team a legitimate contender.

Cleveland is going to bring home a championship and you can take that to the bank.

When Kyle Korver is your best scorer, you have no chance to win a 'ship. He was shoointg an insane % from 3 to start the season and is already falling back to his mean. In the month of Feb he's shotting 37.5% compared to his season avg of over 50%. Teams are starting to actually guard him and he's no longer the threat he was. I dont want to say they have 0 chance to beat the cavs, but I think its high unlikely barring injuries.

Kyle korver is not the best scorer on that team.

They are definitely a team that is greater than the sum of their individual parts. Extremely well coached, very impressive. I'd still take Cavs in 6 or 7, but they have been on fire basically since the 1st round of the playoffs last year when they almost took down a full strength indy

Agreed, and Jeff Teague has really emerged as a huge threat. The Hawks don't have a superstar, but they are just solid across the board and have excellent depth. It seems like a different player always comes off their bench and blows up, whether it's Lou Williams, Mike Scott, Shelvin Mack, or Dennis Schroder. They are balanced, play excellent D (tied for 3rd fewest PPG allowed), shoot very well from the FT line (6th), are in top 1/3 of the league for fewest TO's, and make the 4th most threes per game. That's a recipe for success.

Not saying that the Cavs won't beat them, but they are no pushover, and I hope if we end up playing them that we approach them as a legitimate threat.

Should the season be considered a "failure" if the do not make the Finals? I feel like I would say YES, even if they aren't the favorites to make it.

It's a zero percent chance the Hawks win a series against the Cavs. 0%.

Unless you want to account for injuries but since the chance is equally likely for both teams, its still 0%.

For me it is. If they made the finals and lost I probably would still be upset though. I just want to see a fucking title in my lifetime please:

Complete failure of a season if they don't win the championship.

Can't waste a year of Lebron kyrie and Love in their primes with a good supporting cast.

I'm still on the boat where it takes time to gel as a team. I'll be disappointed but not shocked if they fall short of the title

Aren't you a Heat fan? Why would you be disappointed?

Give me the field or the Bulls knocking the Cavs out of the playoffs and I'm taking the field. As great and scary as the Bulls are, the Cavs are still ahead of them in standings even with a half season acclimation period.

Old Man River David Lee is shreddin' the Cavs right now.

    Oh, Delly...that was embarrassing.
