Regardless of chemistry, should be no real reason why the heat couldn't win 38 games with lineup. Especially with a healthy by his standards Wade.

I don't think he's the worst coach in the NBA by any stretch, but he's definitely bottom half. He was before LBJ carried him for 4 years, and he's right back there once he left.

Not all of it for that record. Being under .500 with KI is never acceptable IMO. It could be KI and a bunch of bums (Heat players) and they should be top team in the east.

I posted a link to the list of coaches last page. The only way you could say he's definitely bottom half is if you think there are 15 coaches unequivocally better than Spoelstra. I'm very curious to see a list of at least the 15 you think are better.

Looking at the list, I gave my rankings and I think Spoelstra is definitely top half and arguably fringe top 10. You could make an argument for him anywhere from 10-15ish so we're not that far off, I just don't think he's definitely bottom 15 because I can't find 15 coaches that I find unequivocally better.

Well he has never won by himself so not sure why you think that? They are like 2-10 this year without Lebron, pretty sure KI played in most of those.

There are 16 coaches that will make the NBA playoffs this year; 14 that won't. Spolestra won't so its pretty easy to argue that he's bottom 14 at the minimum and probably worse given his easy schedule and the talent on the team.

There are only 4 active coaches with championships and only 2 with 2+ championships. It's pretty easy to argue Spoelstra is top 4 if not top 2 since, according to you, all that matters is winning and ringzzzzzz.

So a coach with 2 championships can't even make the playoffs? Anyway, we are talking about this year and this year 30 coaches started 0-0 and only 16 will make the playoffs. Spolestra failed to do that. He is a failure.

Spolestra should go back to coaching women's high school basketball. He's that bad; an affirmative action hire in the NBA no doubt.

So a coach's merit is based on one season?

It's not now that he is giving your (second) team a hard time?

Lol yeah Sleeper is acting like typical Sleeper it's not more or less funny than it was before.

Westbrook probably lock up the scoring title tonight.
  • lhslep134
In b4 Pick's Westbrook post to say that if the Thunder had not given up 116 points in Sunday's loss to Indiana, a team that needed 4Q + 1 OT to hit 85 last night, then the relevance of tonight's game wouldn't hinge on what the Pelicans do.

Individually he had 1 hell of a season. His play isn't going to carry a sub par team to a playoff spot in the west....but I do enjoy his balls to the wall 100% effort on offense. Impressive what he did.

    Spurs back within 4.
  • Ironman92
Spurs playing guys mostly and giving it a good effort even though they don't need it.

If they win they get the second seed?

Not buying that they are life or death over that....they don't need home court to beat the Clippers
  • lhslep134
Pelicans make the playoffs. That was a fun game to watch.

Spurs gonna drop from the 2 seed to the 6 seed if Memphis wins. Might be in Memphis' best interest not to win, though, given the difference between possibly facing the Clippers and Warriors in the 2nd round.

Bulls get the 3 seed in the east.

Yep...but regardless the best team will come out of the west. Playoffs should be fun in the west

Nice to see the pelicans get in
