Dumb by Harden to go for that but RW actually looks tired

Houston shooting their 50th free throw
  • Ironman92
    Crazy game.....OKC with 1 final
Prayer left. Need RW to kick it to Morrow
  • Ironman92
SMH....Brewer trying to foul and refs don't call it and RW shoots a 40 footer with 3 seconds left trying to draw the 3 point shot.

    No clue...terrible ending

Looked like he got all ball while trying to foul. Haven't seen a good angle of it yet myself

He may have but the NBA refs typically are aware of situations and are typically quick to whistle.

    50 free throws is crazy

    Bullshit flagrant on Lebron.

And Noah moves on every single screen he sets.
  • gport_tennis
    Softest flagrant I've ever seen

    Clippers 99

Pretty nasty putback. Nothing crazy, the wow moment comes from the fact he is a PG.

    144-143 2ot mavs over nuggets

Rockets drop from a 6seed to a 2 seed in the west with last nights game.

Have to LOL at ESPN as their header read, "rockets in downward spiral" and "rockets season getting out of hand" and I look it up and they've lost two games in a row lol

Also, harden said he's "done enough" to win mvp. What a douche. Hate that bearded fuck
  • gport_tennis
He has done enough to win MVP... So has Steph, interesting to see where it goes.

On another note, I hate the hack a whoever strategy. That rule severely needs to be changed. Make all intentional fouls 2 shots plus possession, or let the team have the option of shooting free throws or having possession. Josh smith was fouled 13 times last night and almost none of them were basketball plays

Or learn how to make a fucking free throw? They are pros getting paid a shit ton of money, and they can't make a close range shot with nobody defending them at least 70% of the time? Yeah, they can go fuck themselves. The NBA doesn't need to cater to them.

I don't care how much money they make, hack a whoever strategy is bad for the game. Its akin to forcing the pitcher to hit every time in the mlb instead of going through the lineup

Lol what the fuck? Free throws are a part of the game. If players don't want to practice them, and shoot 50% from the line, it's a legal strategy to put them at the line intentionally.

Forcing the opposing team's pitcher to hit every time is not strategy, nor is it legal or anywhere in the realm of a possibility.
  • gport_tennis
I never said it wasn't legal, and I don't fault anybody for using it. I would just like to see the rule change.

I'd like to see intentional (that don't have anything to do with the ball) fouls have a similar rule to clear path fouls

I'm with both sides on this debate.

Hack-a-player is a completely ass-backwards strategy and that when a team can use a supposed punishment to benefit something is wrong. I think that this in general is what makes the end of basketball games way too long and full of commercials.

But at the same time, these are supposed to be some of the most talented players in the world, not being able to hit FT's at a certain clip is embarrassing.
  • SportsAndLady
I actually think deandre Jordan is the best FT shooter in the NBA and is shooting 45% on purpose so that when he's intentionally fouled in the WCF 10 times in the fourth quarter, he makes them all.
