Completely irrelevant, like 90% of COA's arguments when he's completely wrong.
Hope Harden cracked COA's top 10 after tonight's performance. Perhaps a 9th place vote? I don't want to ask for too much. -

Lebron took a team of D-leaguers to to the NBA finals before his prime. Fact.gport_tennis;1717985 wrote:I would not pick the cavs to make the ECF if Kyrie and Love got hurt and could not play, so no I disagree. I think the bulls would wax the cavs without Kyrie and Love. Now hopefully neither of us will ever know, because I'd much rather watch a fully healthy Cavs squad demolish the bulls. -

That is actually not a fact. Not a single person on the 12 man lineup played in the D-League. That team in addition to Lebron had a 2 time all star (Big Z), and 2 2nd team all Defenders in Varejao and Hughes. While it was a surprise they made the finals, and most definitely made the finals because of "out of this world Lebron", that team was not full of D-Leaguers.sleeper;1718210 wrote:Lebron took a team of D-leaguers to to the NBA finals before his prime. Yup, he's right behind Mo Williams in terms of single game performance MVP rankings.lhslep134;1718160 wrote:No. I dated a girl from Solon 7 years ago.

Typical pick6 response, you model yourself after great peers./ sarcasm -

Might as well be a D-league team. Lebron absolutely can take this team on his back without Irving and Love and get to the Eastern conference finals. Harden is crying tears over losing an overrated big man like Howard and will never lead his team anywhere. His best chance at winning anything was taking a massive pay cut to come off the bench for OKC. Harden is a great 6th man but he's not a super star and he will never win anything.gport_tennis;1718214 wrote:That is actually not a fact. Harden reminds me a lot of Melo. Not a superstar, but a damn good player that thinks he's a superstar and teams pay like an elite superstar. Chris Bosh COULD fit into this, but Bosh knows he's not LBJ, Harden/Melo don't.sleeper;1718217 wrote:Might as well be a D-league team. Good comparison. I'd take Harden over Melo though as Melo is terrible.Commander of Awesome;1718218 wrote:Harden reminds me a lot of Melo. Harden also this season improved on def. Something I haven't seen Melo do consistently over a season.sleeper;1718231 wrote:Good comparison. I'd take Harden over Melo though as Melo is terrible. -
lhslep134I hope COA is happy now that he's found a fellow Harden hater in sleeper. The same sleeper who either knows nothing about the NBA or feigns ignorance just to troll. The same sleeper that said Draymond Green is not good.
You two are perfect for each other when it comes to Harden. -

And you continue to ignore the reality that Harden has never and will never win anything in the NBA. His only chance is to take the Vets minimum and play with a real super star like Lebron or Curry; that is the reality.lhslep134;1718245 wrote:I hope COA is happy now that he's found a fellow Harden hater in sleeper. Brown played in the D-league. Damon Jones played in random junk leagues. Pavlocic started out as a euro player. That team wasn't "full" of them, but the talent was a joke.gport_tennis;1718214 wrote:That is actually not a fact. Not a single person on the 12 man lineup played in the D-League. A fucking joke. I mean the second best player on the team was BOOBIE GIBSON and who knows what Asian team he plays for now.Pick6;1718248 wrote:Brown played in the D-league. sleeperAny team with Eric Snow playing more than zero minutes on it is absolutely trash. Eric Snow; worst black player in NBA history.

I stand corrected, you are correct. 1 player played in the D-League, but he wasn't part of the main 12, that's why I forgot to look him up. Also, wasn't a great team and was definitely carried by Bron to the Finals, but there was still some talent on that squad was my point.Pick6;1718248 wrote:Brown played in the D-league. Wasn't a "team full of D-Leaguers" -
gport_tennisIf the MVP award went to the best player, it would be Lebron's award until he retired. But its not, Harden is not as good as Lebron, but his teams success this year is more dependent on him than the cavs to Lebron. Harden has had a great, efficient full year of NBA basketball leading his team to a better record w/o their 2nd best player and now without their starting PG. Harden and Curry are the top 2 mvp candidates no matter how much you despise Harden and his beard.

lol? The starting 5 that year was Larry Hughes, Z, Lebron, Pavlovic, and Gooden. LOL. Talent? Yeah maybe Z had some talent but its not even a debate that this is by far the worst team ever to make an NBA finals. Harden's current team is 100x better than this team and he won't even sniff an NBA finals. -

All hail ihslep's mighty INTELLECT!!! The same ihslep you used Offensive wins shares as the main case for Harden to be MVP and thinks FTs are the greatest basketball play. sleeperslep will stop at nothing to get Harden recognized as a top NBA player. He's above average at best and I certainly wouldn't want him chucking my team away.

This post is so full of fail it's hilarious.Commander of Awesome;1718256 wrote:The same ihslep you used Offensive wins shares as the main case for Harden to be MVP and thinks FTs are the greatest basketball play.
My main case was stated here:
As you can read, or in your case, choose to ignore, offensive win shares is unequivocally not my "main case."lhslep134;1717790 wrote:Your only arguments for him not being top 3 are what? That you don't like his style of play? That he won't go far in the playoffs? Those are pathetically awful arguments man. Not much else to say.
My arguments are well laid out and easily backed by evidence: #1 offensive win shares; #1 overall win shares; #8 defensive win shares; #3 box +/-; #1 value over replacement player....I could go on and on.
To your second bolded point. I didn't say they're the greatest, I said they're the most valuable. Which they are, per http://nyloncalculus.com/2014/07/21/most-valuable-shot-is-worth-one-point-free-throw/; so you can either acknowledge that or you can be like footwedge and disagree with mathematical conclusions.
So continue your spin cycle routine but anyone with any bit of NBA knowledge sees right through you and your "case." The only one who doesn't is Sleeper who, like I said, is either ignorant to the NBA or feigns ignorance to troll. Either way, not the most convincing guy to have in your corner lol. But hey when you can get someone who doesn't think Draymond Green is good to agree with you, you'll take what you can get amirite? -

I don't need to "stop at nothing." He's already recognized as a top player in the league this year by every expert who has him in their top 2 or 3 of MVP candidates. The only ones who refuse to recognize are you two, and it's such an irrational opinion it's hilarious. Truly "how can someone possibly have this opinion and not be brain dead" hilarious.sleeper;1718260 wrote:slep will stop at nothing to get Harden recognized as a top NBA player. And I'm clearly not the only one who thinks that
gport_tennis;1717936 wrote:Why am I even allowing myself to delve into this again. If you don't think harden is top 4 MVP candidate or top 15 player already, nothing will convince you otherwise -
gport_tennisThis rockets team has 1 good healthy player in Harden and is winning a ton of games and will probably be the 2 seed in the best conference. James Harden for MVP everybody
Houston Rockets current starting Lineup (team winning 50+ games this year):
Trevor Ariza
Terrence Jones
Joey Dorsey
James Harden
Jason terry
Bench
Pablo Prigioni
Corey Brewer
Josh Smith (a team is paying him 30 million to not even play for them he is so bad)
Clint capela
Injured
Dwight Howard
Donateus Montejaius (SP)

LOL The 04 Cavs team were definitely not by far the worst team to ever make the finals. I'd say the 2001 76ers are close if not worse.sleeper;1718255 wrote:lol?
