Browns vs steelers. Big game
-
SportsAndLadyBrowns 2-2
Steelers 3-2
Big game for AFC north standings. Though the benga more than likely take the division this year, the wildcard will def have one AFC north team in it.
Big game for the city of Cleveland. -
Ironman92Could be a turn of the tides a bit (maybe not the right expression) if Cleveland can win. They have found a way to win 2x in recent weeks and made a huge run at Pittsburgh.
Will the big game get everyone too amped up and then follow with a huge letdown OR do they find a way to win, beat a hated rival and give decent hope for a playoff shot.....so yeah, pretty damn big game for the city of Cleveland.
Pittsburgh has owned the Browns since Ben took over....but the Browns seem to be on the upswing and Steelers are grasping to stay relevant for playoff speak.
It'll be nuts and if Pittsburgh does not win the turnover battle....I believe they will lose. I will remain loyal to the Cleveland "finding a way to lose" and predict...
Steelers 20
Browns 17 -
BR1986FBBrowns can't afford to come out flat in this one like they have in previous weeks (at Pittsburgh & Tennessee). These "Kardiac Kids" type comebacks aren't going to happen every week. The defense is a major concern. Seems like their best cornerback, right now, is K'Waun Williams.

like_thatYou can start with simple fundamentals such as tackling. If they can't finish their tackles/sacks on the rapist, then it will be a long day.

thavoiceFor years and years I would hear browns/bengals fans complain how the steelers would get all these breaks and good fortune. I am a believer that you put yourself into a position to be a recipient of good luck but with all my years involved in sports I cannot deny that there are times when good shit just happens to your team. A good bounce, a certain call, just good fortune and many times that is just the way it goes in sports, and in life.
I think the browns are FINALLY starting to have things go their way. Fantastic comeback yesterday when they could have just packed it in. I think twice now that Hoyer was on the cusp of getting replaced..against PIttsburgh if he didnt produce in that first drive of the second half and yesterday if he hadnt drove them down at the end of the half.
I am not saying the browns are going to win out and win the super bowl, but they def have the mojo going their way. It doesnt take much, just one game like yesterday, to turn a season and franchise around. The steelers come in limping after getting beat by the buccs and playing lackluster against the hapless Jags.
The division has officially turned from top to bottom as the browns and bengals will fight it out for the crown, and the steelers and ravens will fight to stay out of last place -

As a Browns fan I wouldn't go that far yet. I would be utterly surprised if the Browns are 2nd in the division at the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steeler's in 4th and the Browns in 3rd however.thavoice;1661150 wrote:For years and years I would hear browns/bengals fans complain how the steelers would get all these breaks and good fortune. I don't think the Browns are quite "there" yet to be close to a wild card. Their defense sucks right now, they need the defense to get better (they have the talent) and they need to win 3 of the next 4 games (they are all 'winnable'). If they could then split between Cincy and Houston in the 9th/10th game that would put them at 6-4 when they get Josh Gordon back. The last 6 games are really tough, but if they are 6-4 or even 5-5 going into them, the team would be really excited, get Gordon back, and have a shot...
For a Cleveland fan, at least since 1999, that's all we can really hope for at this point. -
SportsAndLady^ thavoice does this shit. He intentionally jinxes the Browns in his favor. Just ignore em

Yeah, I am not sure they are 'there' yet as you talk about but I am seeing things that are the beginning of the turnaround. They should take care of the steelers this week and if they do then they finish second in the division. Even tho the bengals got drilled last night I still think they win the division.jmog;1661156 wrote:As a Browns fan I wouldn't go that far yet. HereticOnly thing I'll predict is that the game will probably go down to the final minute.

Game will be decided by 3 points or less...almost guarantee it.Heretic;1661170 wrote:Only thing I'll predict is that the game will probably go down to the final minute. -
iclfan2Will be in attendance at this one. Got a flight out at 7pm Sunday night. Hopefully they take care of it quickly! Place should be bumpin on Sunday. Excited to see where our seats are, got the personal tickets from one of the main front office personnel.

Tell ya what...once you get the good seats it is difficult to sit anywhere else! Used to be in with season tix to the steelers....3rd frow from the top, but now my brother's company has 8 on the 50 and we get them a couple of times a year and its so much better!iclfan2;1661185 wrote:Will be in attendance at this one. RotinajIf we win this game we should be in very good shape going forward. Next 3 are against the 3 worst teams in the NFL. Not saying we are going to win them all but 2/3 is pretty likely.
-
RotinajWith that being said, Steelers win by 40.
-
ernest_t_bassSteelers by 100.

BRFThis can be a corner turning game.

If the sagging Steelers come into Cleveland and win this one then it really is the same ole browns, but if the browns win then I think that goes a long way with this recent victory to finally turning around the franchise.
Said it before and will again...the division finally has been flipped upside down. Ravens/Steelers have been top dogs for a long time and the bengals recently have taken it, but the worm officially has turned with the bengals winning the division, the browns in second an contending for the WC and the rats/steelers fighting for the basement. I think that in part the large salaries of Flacco and BR have caught up with these teams and they just cannot afford the depth that used to be their strength. In 3-5 years that may also be the bengals issue as well with Dalton's Deal. -

Oh god, don't bring up daltons deal. We don't need azu coming on this thread arguing about it.thavoice;1661205 wrote:I concur.

Just something that down the road could very well hurt the depth situation, but that is a diff thread for a diff day!like_that;1661212 wrote:Oh god, don't bring up daltons deal. We don't need azu coming on this thread arguing about it.
It will be very interesting this sunday to say the least. -

Doubtful. Very similar mindsets but I doubt FW swings from both sides of the plate.bases_loaded;1661218 wrote:Is Footwedge Chuck Booms? -
FootwedgeBrowns are favored for the first time in a decade over Pittsburgh. Hoyer choked with the game on the line every other week. 2-2 in crunch time. It's his week to choke.

Yeah Chuck says he's not real happy with your advances.BR1986FB;1661220 wrote:Doubtful. Very similar mindsets but I doubt FW swings from both sides of the plate.
