Yep, who had these two teams playing for the ALCS?

    ^^^^I do. see post #3 and #18

    Damn Bumgarner.....dumb play. Greedy

Matt Carpenter's plate approach is pristine.

Yasiel Puigs is not, at the moment.

He's lost up there....he's guessing and guessing wrong. Looks like a righty Jay Bruce.

Still need to be careful with him.

Dale Scott has not done a good job behind the plate. He's been tight both ways but has given Cards about 7-8 calls off the plate and only 2-3 for Dodgers plus the no call on Holliday SMH

Nice call, but I really meant picking these two teams from the beginning of the season.

Someone from ESPN or somewhere had the Royals in the ALCS...I remember talking about it with like_that on a preseason thread or something

Uribe will be wailing at the first pitch after this short delay to fix mound

A lot of people had the Royals as a wild card, but not in the ALCS....but Baltimore too? That's a quinella that would have had to pay off BIG.

I know a LOT of people who had Baltimore winning the division. I also know a lot who had KC as a WC. But, as you said, usually those people were not one in the same.

    Hell, I think I had:

    Baltimore
    Detroit
    LAA
    KC - WC
    Tampa - WC

But, I could very easily have had Tampa as the East winner and Tampa or Oakland as WC teams. I do not remember.

Not sure if I had them in the ALCS, but I definitely thought they could be a wildcard or division champs. The baseball playoffs are a crap shoot though, so I am not surprised they are in the ALCS.

I fucking hate the Cardinals. Same bullshit every year with garbage players coming up clutch.
  • Ironman92
    Adams is just not garbage.

No one left in the playoffs is in the top 6 of highest payroll (Giants 7th)....11 of top 13 are done.

    Great stuff!

It's really hard to believe Bryce Harper is just 21.
  • wghfan
Way to go Harper! Cmon Nats, need the Giants the hell out of here

Everyone here in LA is basically crying after the Angels and Dodgers went down. I remind them they now have a little taste of what its like to be a Cleveland fan.

The crying is good for 'em!
  • Ironman92
My Orioles/Nats hopeful World Series matchup is done
  • Ironman92
The home plate ump should be fired on spot for that call, without checking in an elimination game of the playoffs.
