If the NFL saw the video they can GFT on changing the suspension because of the video going public and as a reaction to the negative press for only giving 2 games the first time
  • Laley23
But it provided me with great entertainment watching Berman have no clue who called the timeout or why or pretty much anything lol.
  • Laley23
Going for 2? What the fuck are the Cards thinking??
  • Iliketurtles

Eh he definitely held him but then gates pushed off. It either should have been a no call or off setting penalties.

Yeah he def held him just didn't think it was any worse than any other nfl play. But it could be that I have Arizona D in fantasy...

Lol another double digit lead blown in the 2nd half. Just a great 4th quarter by the cards.
  • gerb131
Carson would still start for a bunch of teams in the league. Damn good a stretch but still good as he showed tonight.
  • gerb131
And he out gained Dwyer on the ground lol

The more I think about the Ray Rice suspension the more bullshit it is. He will sue and win his case against the NFL easily. The new policy just last week was only 6 games first offense and lifetime the 2nd time. I'm tired of Goodell just doing whatever the fuck he wants. He made the wrong decision the first time (2 Games) then once there's a public outcry he caves. I just want consistency. His ego is going to fuck up the game.

I hope TMZ really has proof someone in the NFL office watched the video.

As a member of the NFLPA, he has no standing to sue. They could sue on his behalf, but that's unlikely.

Unreal that that dumbass woman is still defending that POS Rice.

All about that money for her.

Eh, just says that Goodell or the NFL never even asked the casino for the footage.

    Probably went about like this:

    1. Gets beat down, things get public.

    2. Puts good public face on things and gets married for any number of reasons: the Vanessa Bryant standard of getting paid by rich husband to downplay utter bullshit (adultery in one case, abuse in the other) or the battered wife syndrome of "babe, I screwed up, but if you stick by me, nothing like that will ever happen again...".

    3. Things get completely blown open and Rice is indefinitely suspended. Now she's stuck with an abusive husband without the benefits of getting paid. Worst of both worlds.

There are a lot of reasons victims of DV stay with their abuser. Could money be a factor for her? Sure. But I am guessing it is a lot more complex.

Nothing complex about being a dumbass.

And now we have this. The NFL says they didn't get the tape from the New Jersey State Police. NJSP responds with statement that, due to where it happened (elevator instead of the floor), the tapes were in the possession of the Atlantic City Police Department and, therefore, the NJSP never had them to begin with.
  • GoChiefs
Lol. The NFL just keeps looking like bigger pieces of shit as more comes out. They sure didn't try very hard to get that footage.
  • GoChiefs
Can't believe I agree with Olbermann.

Thats what it sounds like. I think they wanted it to be quick and get it done and over with. They have enough power to get whatever they please so there is no reason, other than wanting to sweep it under the rug, to not search for evidence. The hotel woulda been the first place I woulda have asked for the tape.

I fucking love it. I've never been a fan of Goodell and I'm glad it's becoming obvious that he's a power hungry asshole. He might go down for this and I'm hoping for it.
