He's right. William Gay is a bum. I have no idea why they brought him back.

However true his words may be, Bortles now has the entire Steeler team gunning for him, every chance they get.

Very true. Just an idiotic thing to say.

The "LOL' in my comment wasn't so much that the Steelers secondary isn't very good (that's a given) but because that's a pretty ballsy statement for a rookie QB, going into his second NFL start, to make.

He nailed the first part....and you are right on him having to back it up now.

Steelers defensive backfield is bad....but man that was a stupid thing for him to say. He won't have to worry about interceptions because none of them can do that but he might get mashed a few times by the bigs up front.

The problem with the second part of your statement is that Pittsburgh doesn't have much of a pass rush either. To their benefit, the Jags have a pretty shitty O-Line so this might be their (Steelers) week to get to the QB.

Yeah, I think my response was along the lines of "Speakin' to the choir, dude...but, uh, rookie...you do know that even bad pros have to have been pretty good to become bad pros and those bad pros are better than about anyone you put your college numbers up against, so, uh, have fun Sunday!"

And then I thought that, if after this, Pittsburgh loses to Jacksonville anyway, there is a good chance I will throw something through a window.

I didn't intend for anyone to thing their pass rush is anything even average.....but a few time throughout the game they'll have a shot on him.

I do look for a better defensive showing this week.

Bring in bridgewater man. Ponder blows
  • Laley23
I cannot believe Christian Ponder quarterbacked a team to the playoffs.
  • Classyposter58
Christian Ponder is so bad he probably couldn't even play in the Tigers bullpen

    You suck

Honestly, seeing somebody like Christian Ponder out there makes me wonder why the hell guys like Troy Smith aren't on an NFL roster somewhere. There is no damn way Troy Smith(or insert QB of your choice here) is worse than some of these backup QBs. Ponder, Weeden, Campbell, Whitehurst, etc are all just awful and will never win anything so why are they even on a roster? Have somebody who at least has potential.

I know i'm several days late on this but I can't believe the Bills benched Manual for Orton. What do they expect to gain from that? Has Orton played on five teams in ten seasons because he's a winner?

Manuel has played like dog shit. Deserves to be benched.

Guess we have differing opinions of what dog shit is.

    yes it was

Serious question? I'm a fan of the guy, but why does Cam Newton get a pass while many others are scrutinized so heavily? Each through 51 starts...

    Dalton - 12082 yards, 89 TD, 50 INT, 86.2 QBR
    Newton - 12027 yards, 95 TD, 42 INT, 87.1 QBR
  • Automatik
    Newton is meh to me.

I know you're sticking up for your boy, but Dalton gets the flack to his meltdowns when it matters. It's not hard to figure out.
  • Azubuike24
Oh I agree. I was just saying, there's a huge perception difference there. I'm aware of Dalton's misgivings...
