  Both links you posted said Rodgers prefers over inflated footballs and he wishes the NFL didn't take air out of them to meet the requirements. Nowhere does it say he cheats and pumps them back up. In the deadspin article, it is unclear if he pushes the limit before the league checks or after.

  It doesn't even matter. Getting caught cheating and immediately saying "well ______ does it too!" Is the response you'd get from a 5 year old who gets caught taking cookies from the pantry and immediately blames his brother.

  "My belief is that there should be a minimum air-pressure requirement but not a maximum. There's no advantage, in my opinion -- we're not kicking the football -- there's no advantage in having a pumped-up football.

  Sounds like he doesn't think what he's doing is cheating, but says that what the Patriots did is.

  Did you watch the video? So he does put more air in them and then lets the refs take it out if he gets caught. So how is it different?
  
  The officials had no problem with the balls the patriots were using, so what's the problem? Maybe they should blame the referees for not knowing.

  Another thing is - if they can't prove how the balls were deflated after referee inspection, then how do we know that the referees did not make a mistake an approve the under inflated balls?

  LOL at trying to justify this by saying "Aaron Rodgers does it too!"...Rules are rules...you either play by them and expect ALL to play by them, or you throw them out. In this case you either enforce the inflation rules or you just let the QB's inflate them to wherever they want them. A ball is either regulation or it's not.

  Yup, 11/12 balls just happened to magically be deflated after they passed the final inspection before kickoff. Just admit your team cheats and move on.

  Ok they cheat. I'm not saying they're innocent. I'm saying, if they weren't tampered with after final inspection, then they clearly weren't inspected correctly, and who's fault is that? Until the penalty is forfeiting the game, i don't think there is any penalty that would change their mentality. They fine them? Suspend BB? Take away draft picks? I don't think they view that punishment as worse than the reward. Replace them in the SB with the Colts then and send a message then and see if they continue to break rules.

  If they take away the first round pick I think thy would care, especially considering their window of opportunity is closing with Brady getting older. They are going to need the picks.

  I feel this is one of the dozens of things that athletes and coaches do across the board. I feel every advantage is looked at and athletes/coaches are continually finding ways to do this type of thing. Baseball, basketball and football...cheaters, rule breakers, rule benders in all facets from what they are allowed to put into their bodies to how can I docter up the baseball, steal signs, devise schemes that find holes in the rules, water down the base paths, deceive the refs/umps, humidor the balls.
  
  I'm going to watch the Super Bowl and not care about any of this stuff. It's dumb and naive. I don't condone any of it. I would take their first 3 draft picks from them if the story keeps unfolding.

  As a former QB I can say that yeah, under inflated balls are easier to throw no doubt about that. Now...how much they have to be under inflated to actually feel and notice a difference? That I dont know.

  I am not sure they really care a whole lot as the window is now. Losing the 31st or 32nd pick isnt a huge deal when you are needing to win NOW>

  The NFL should thoroughly investigate the affair in the off season and if it is shown that this is as it appears, then suspend Brady for at least 6 games next year...and Belichick for a year (since this is his second offense) Fine Kraft and take away a draft pick. Plus put the team on probation for 5 years, and if there are any more incidents Kraft should be forced to sell the team.
  If Donald Sterling can lose his franchise over a surrepticiously recording of a private conversation, then most certainly the NFL has the power to remove an owner whose team continues to willfully cheat.

  We all know that was just an overreaction as anytime the N word is spewed from someone of power everyone goes overboard on punishment because if they done then it makes it seem they condone it.
  NO way he should have been forced to get rid of his team. Fine him and whatever, and if blacks wanted to start boycotting signing with him then, well, that is within the rights and he eventually would have to get rid of it.
  
  I think 1st round draft picks should be taken. Fines really mean nothing, but go ahead and fine them and that money go toward purchasing football inflators for HS football programs....ha

  Leagues need to take "integrity of the sport" issues seriously. I have no problem with a league removing an owner whose teams cheat. I definitely think Brady and Belichek should get a suspension, possibly others depending on who was complicit.
