Is he? Most of what I saw of him in college seemed to be all about getting himself some attention.

That's probably because you were fapping to whatever the espn hype machine fed to you.

The consensus by the evaluators is he is very competitive, confident, and a leader.

Did you watch any of his games?

They said that about Quinn too. Nice fail though

First of all no they didn't, and second of all I not arguing he is going to be successful because they believe that... We are discussing what the consensus thought is on JFF. Keep trying harder hermit.

LOL, yes they did. They thought he was going to show up and be ready to play.

    Keep on trying little buddy!

Oh? Is that why they had no intentions of starting him the first year (which he didn't)? LOL keep failing and pretending you know what you are talking about hermit.

Hint: you don't, especially when it comes to the browns.
  • Automatik
    I can't recall that.

From what I remember, Quinn often looked like a listless bitch while on the ND sidelines....but my anti-ND bias could be showing.

Quinn also has a noodle arm. I don't think many thought he would be the savior.

Says the Browns fan excited about the much hyped Manziel? I think many of his actions demonstrate that he isn't a leader. Getting drunk, hungover then ditching out on a football camp where he was supposed to be a leader for example.

Yes, and I saw he is a great athlete with a competitive spirit as I already said.

That was because of his Charlie Weis pedigree while everyone was still slobbering on his (Weis's) knob.

    'Tis.

Quinn was supposed to be ready when he came out because he was under the great Charlie Weis, who ran his pro system at ND.

I didn't think Quinn was worth a damn, but all of the experts said he was a great QB and would succeed in the NFL

If you have read any of my posts I'm neither very excited or pissed we got manziel. I think it's dumb to overreact to a draft pick unless it's completely obvious the guy is going to be a busy (ie weeden). I think we can all agree that it's an evenly divided debate whether he will be a boom/boost.

As for your other portion of your response, he was a fucking college kid. Get off your high horse. So basically you are looking for a bible thumping QB? Got it.

I actually don't read your posts generally so I didn't know that. So we agree that it's evenly divided whether he will be a boom or bust.

Yes, he was a college kid. It's not like I'm criticizing him for getting drunk. I could give a rats ass generally about college kids drinking (even those below 21)

I'm criticizing him for getting drunk the night before he's supposed to be a mentor/leader at an elite/exclusive QB camp to the point where he had to leave because of how hungover he was. To me that shows his lack of leadership abilities.
  • Scarlet_Buckeye
The Browns now need to draft WR Marqise Lee, RB Carlos Hyde, S Lamarcus Joyner, WR Allen Robinson, or WR Jordan Matthews and this would be one heckuva draft then for them.

I go by what I see ON THE FIELD.

Manziel's teammates appeared to feed off of his energy and swagger.

I never noticed his off the field BS affecting his in-game performance.....unless you want to count the time he was benched for a quarter.

    All of this.

I'm not a fan, but to say he isn't a leader because he got drunk and was too hungover is a complete joke. The kid did everything and then some that was asked of him as the QB at Texas A&M.

So you didn't read my posts yet you categorized me as an excited fan? Speaking from your ass per usual. This is why (amongst many reasons) nobody likes.

I will give him a pass on skipping camp as he was a kid who just became a celebrity. I'll go with the consensus experts who say he has leadership traits.

Ray Lewis is a murderer and he was considered a leader.

+1 and I hardly agree with you.

All that swagger and he's never won anything.

lol....yeah yeah, you just don't like to admit it.

My friend went to A&M. He gave us a heads up on Manziel years ago. I laughed in his face when I saw he was a somewhat small nerdy lookin kid. I was wrong, very wrong.
sleeper;1614510 wrote:All that swagger and he's never won anything.
Only one team can win it all.
  • thavoice
Eh, Manzeil liked to go party some and his picture got posted. No biggie.
He got paid to sign autographs. Against the rules, but was smart enough to be insulated to the point he wouldnt get busted. Smart move.

Its not like he stole crab legs or anything (but I bet he an dmany other CFB players get freebies around their campus)(
  • Automatik
lol...the Crab Thief will probably go #1 next year.

Not true. He never won a division, a conference championship, or a title. He beat Alabama one time with a gimmick offense and almost pissed down his leg against DUKE.

He's a cocky kid who's never won anything and will get stomped on in the big leagues. Book it!

I was unclear in what I said. I read your posts responding to me, but I don't read all your posts. So there is no reason to throw a fit over me not knowing your views of Manziel.
