Random Draft Talk

They had 7 pro bowlers and had the leading wide receiver in the NFL, with NO quarterback play. I don't think it's unfair or crazy to say the Browns are close. And for the first time in a long time, I'm actually expecting 7-9 wins. No reason not too, and the only argument I get from people when I say that is "but they're the browns"... that's not a rebuttal
It's easy to talk shit and predict they will be a shitty team until they actually do something about it. Look at dlazz, he doesn't know anything about the NFL or football in general yet he goes out of his way to troll.

Still mad bro? Browns will continue to be failures, no matter who they draft.

    Hope this helps.

Like that's point is you are only saying that because it's the cool thing to say. You have no idea why they'll continue to fail, because you don't know football. You're a computer nerd with 0 friends and a cat. You try to be "cool" on the internet to counter your real-life failures.

    Hope this helps.

Pretty much spot on. I know a lot of people like dlazz, and they pretty much are the worst sports "fans" (other than fair weather/bandwagon fans) out there. At least provide some substance instead of looking at the standings and being a troll.

So you pretty much confirm you know nothing about the NFL and football. That was your chance to provide a somewhat knowledgeable post. Stick to IT threads.

LOL. Truth stings, doesn't it? I'm sorry you follow a deadbeat football team but I will say your optimism is cute.

Johnny Football is small, doesn't have a great football IQ, and played a pass-happy, spread formation (in shotgun) while in college.

That doesn't translate at all to the NFL, no matter how much it's become a passing league.

He's not going to be ready for several years (if ever) and even if he ever becomes viable, he'll be a marshmallow due to his small size.

The last QB they took that ran a spread formation primarily in the gun panned out for them, right?

    Enjoy!
  • Rotinaj
Not a great football IQ? Do you just make things up as you go?
  • Rotinaj
Also, there are quite a few smaller QBs who have had MUCH success lately.

Running around aimlessly works fine in college, not in the pros. He also has a tendency to throw up prayers.

He's a gimmicky QB, just like Tebow was.

Im pretty thick skinned I have seen the browns in the playoffs once in the last 15 years, so some hermit dipshit with no life and no knowledge of football isn't going to hurt my feelz because he thinks the browns will suck lol. Comparing Weeden to JFF is retarded. Two completely different QBs. I can see him being a bust because of the reasons you listed and I can see him being a boom pick for the intangibles he has.

Anyone who actually doesn't want to be a dipshit troll and follows football knows the Browns have been improving. Keep in mind after the Browns threw away their 2008 draft because of the idiotic Quinn trade. At that time it wasn't "the browns problem is a QB," the problem was, the Browns needed everything (except a tackle). Literally the only player left from the 2008 roster is Joe Thomas. As much as I would love to see the Browns immediately win the SB, when you have that much turnover, it's going to take awhile to start winning games. I don't expect (as most of us here, minus the few crazies) the Browns to all of a sudden rape everyone this year and pull a niners, but I think expecting 8 wins is reasonable, and build on from there.

    In summary, go fuck yourself.

LOL, good retort. Didn't even try.

I wouldn't be surprised if you watched less than 5 of his games. Comparing him and Tebow is about as laughable as it gets.

    Quite a few?

    Drew Brees and Russell Wilson.

I don't remember what the report was on Brees when he came out. But the first thing anyone was saying about Wilson was about he had character, was a natural leader and a charisma you can't teach.

I don't think that applies to Manziel.

Whether Manziel succeeds, no reason for Browns fans not to be optimistic though. It would be a shitty life to be a fan and never have hope for your team. But at the same time, I am skeptical of Manziel as others are. And good for him and the Browns if they prove the doubters wrong.

He makes a lot of plays on athleticism that he could have made on better reads instead. He's a smart enough kid, but he has a ton to learn.

Or Weeden... The only comparison he has to Tebow is the media hype. LOL at the football IQ comment though. Everyone has said he has a great football IQ, nice fail though. Now him running around and trying to do too much could be an issue, but hopefully the coaches can coach him up on that. At this point though I rather see a gun slinger (I think hoyer is one too), then a passive hold on to the ball clown like Weeden/McCoy/Campbell/Delhomme/etc.
  • Automatik
His throwing motion is worlds better than Tebow's.

Pretty sure this is the exact reason why most people love Manziel.....

He's a gimmicky (popular pick) QB. I wasn't necessarily comparing their attributes.

    He'll be a bust.

I thought it was his athleticism and competitive nature?

The first thing people said about Wilson was just the way he commands a room.

The first thing people say about Manziel is his electric athleticism and competitive nature.
