Getting to the super bowl is hurting the team??Classyposter58;1569786 wrote:It does hurt the team because it shows how this guy actually thinks and I'm sure it turns his teammates off a little bit that he acts and thinks like he's bigger than the team. I mean come on, your a CB in a sport where you have 10 other teammates on the field -
Laley23The game is fine how it is. The COLLEGE game needs sped up. Those games take fucking forever. NFL is consistently around 3 hours. A playoff game yesterday was under 3 hours.

Yeah, been saying that for years. Most of it is the timing rules of the college game. NFL game you go outta bounds and the clock only stops temporarily unless under 2 and 5.Laley23;1570076 wrote:The game is fine how it is. The COLLEGE game needs sped up. and ya have that halftime. Not sure what CFB is, but NFL is only 12.
The interesting part is the falling back to 6 if you dont get it. I think this ensures that teams wont go for two until they absolutely have to late in the game (which has always been my thinking anyways). Somttimes, and you see it more in CFB than the NFL, a team goes for two earlier in the game to make it a one score game or whatever. They wont do that anymore because of the possibility of losing a point.
Kickers will still be valuable with the FG -

You're the one making an unsubstantiated claim, acting like it's fact and then playing some "well none of you have competed in high-level sports" card whenever anyone disagrees with that claim.Classyposter58;1570183 wrote:Are you retarded? Serious question
I mean, I haven't seen or heard any griping coming out of Seattle about Sherman and his antics. Hell, if anything, I read something which hinted that his teammates like setting him off because when he's pissed, that's when he's truly in a zone. -

We all ask this about you every time you post. Go watch the boy scout football league with cry4fail if your feelings were hurt so badly by richard sherman talking shit LOL.Classyposter58;1570183 wrote:Are you retarded? Serious question
Also, as I said earlier, you are the same person who supports Suh... You support a guy being a dirty POS on the field, but get your panties in a bunch over a guy talking shit to the media? Just stop. -
AutomatikDeion back in the day.....
Classy would be appalled!! Suspend him!! -
HereticLol.

They seem really hurt. That team's chemistry has been crippled by Sherman. Denver 88-2. Book it.Instead, that figurehead is Sherman, and while the other players aren't about to fully adopt his inflammatory style anytime soon they are regularly grateful for it.
"He is an individual and he does things his own way," receiver Doug Baldwin said. "But everything he does is to help this team and give us a better chance to win. That's what it's all about for him."
"I don't want him to change in any way," added defensive end Red Bryant. "This is a team game and we have had great contributions from so many guys, but he has been huge for us. Whatever he is doing, it is working. I don't want him to stop any of it." -
thavoicePretty much everyone is in agreeance except for classyposteriamnot69 that SHerman's comments wont hurt the team at all.
He came out and apologized a bit.
Loved how he owned skip bayless.
He just had a momen that some think was over the top and uncalled for.
It isnt like he was arrested or wrecked his motorcylce without his helmet on. -
like_thatI can't believe this is the only 2nd SB where both teams are #1 seeds in the last 20 years.

Kinda shows that the league is pretty damned even, and that getting hot at the right time is key.like_that;1570249 wrote:I can't believe this is the only 2nd SB where both teams are #1 seeds in the last 20 years.
Without going back though, I think this has been one of the years where things werent settled early as terms of seeding. Didnt pretty much all the teams have to battle it out until the last week for a chance? I know KC sat guys, but for the most part for the last week there was alot of seeding still at large.
I think sitting hurt some of Mannings teams at times in the past. Sit in week 17, bye, and there goes the timing. -
se-alumSo pissed that the Super Bowl is going to be played in New York. Possibly the dumbest decision ever made by the NFL.
-
AutomatikI'm cool with it...glad they changed it up.

thavoiceI am all for football out in the elements. Hell, I usually wait until later in the season to go to NFL games, but for the biggest game of the year I would rather it be inside or in a warm climate area.
The weather shouldnt factor into the biggest game of the year. I want to see who is the best team, not the best team who can play in the snow and wind becuase it definantly would hinder certain styles of teams.
Fine line I know, but go through the gargabe weather late in the year and playoffs, but the SB should be free of weather concerns. -
AutomatikThen dome always?
The weather was a factor in the Indy/Chicago SB a few years back. -

They have to do it all year, why not the Super Bowl?thavoice;1570265 wrote:I am all for football out in the elements. Hell, I usually wait until later in the season to go to NFL games, but for the biggest game of the year I would rather it be inside or in a warm climate area.

Eh, 6 total fumbles. -
thavoiceI know what you are all saying.
Just me I guess I would rather see the biggest game played in benign weather situations.
Just my opinion. -
AutomatikNot benign, but I have no issue with a cold climate SB.
-
queencitybuckeyeI'd prefer weather not to be a factor most of the time, but the occasional one off won't ruin the sport.
