    Lol....you said "asshole"

    Can't win without a QB
I wish I shared your optimism that the 2 headed monster that is Banner/Lombardi could make the right decision on who that guy is.

I guess there is a first for everything though as even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.

The more I think about it the more I think Manziel is going to be a Cleveland Brown. Jimmy really only cares about marketing and putting butts in the seats, so Manziel will be a dream come true for the Browns brain trust.

Of course he cares about putting people in the seats. If he didn't have people in the seats, we wouldn't have a team to root for. Are you saying that Haslem is the only owner in the NFL that cares about putting people in the seats?
  • Mulva
I don't think it takes the savviest of businessmen to realize that the best way to fill seats is to win.

Back to one critical position. Ask Iggy what that is..

Gotta root for the redskins next week. If they win, the Browns are looking at a top 3 pick.

5 QBs in the top 10?

Derek Carr will not be going that high.

If Mariotta comes back, that is HUGE. Would be a good week if the failskins win and mariotta officially declares.

#Browns DC Ray Horton said "personnel" is probably reason his defense gave up so many 4Q pts this season and so few last yr w/ #Cardinals.

    GFY horton.

    — If you're looking for the next Russell Wilson, check out Arizona State's Taylor Kelly. The junior quarterback wasn't on my 2014 radar until an area scout tipped me off on his game this week. After charting three games, it's tough to not like Kelly's accuracy, mobility and poise. While not expected to declare for this year's draft, Kelly is worth watching for future classes.

    7. If Stanford's David Yankey leaves school for the NFL draft, he'll be the best guard in the class. He's David DeCastro-like in his technique but plays meaner at the point of attack.

I was just looking over draft projections...off subject, but god, how awful does that RG3 deal look for Washington right now? The Rams are sitting pretty.

Everyone was saying we were stupid for not making a deal to get that pick. I thought that was ridiculous. There is NO ONE worth 3 firsts and a second or whatever the deal was. If you do your due diligence, 3 firsts and a 2nd are 4 starters. No single player can make up for 4 players. Not to mention, it's a COLLEGE kid. Those kids have proven nothing yet. I think the Browns have been smart in stockpiling picks instead of trading them all away for anything but a sure thing. Now, we can't pull the same crap previous regimes and the Cavs did an blow our picks. Whatever has been done in the past as far as draft prep, I would double it heading into this draft. With the amount of picks we have, if we hit on a large majority of them, we could be sitting in playoff contention next season.

It would have been terrible even if the pick was in the teens or 20's this year. No player is ever worth all of those draft picks.

What sucks for the Rams is they play in a division with the Seahawks, 49ers, and Cards so even though they fleeced the Redskins they still probably aren't making the playoffs anytime soon.

Wow wes what a difference a year makes huh? After last season, everyone was shitting on the Browns for not getting that deal done, now they're talking about dumb the skins were. No long view what so ever in today's society. Case in point:

SMH at the author of the second article. Anyone that has a sense of history knew that RG3's success would go downhill from his first year. Defenses figure out how to play against you and running around gets you beat up. Mike Vick was the superior athlete to RG3 and even he couldn't last playing that way.
  • wes_mantooth
    ^^great comparison with Vick too.

I was def not on board with trading all those picks for RG3 at the time. But that draft was a disaster...I will never forget sitting in a bar with Fab4 when the Weeden pick was announced...people were screaming and booing and throwing food...lol. Sad that all those drunk people knew better than the previous regime..lmao

The weeden pick was one of the worst moments in my browns fanhood career. I got sick that night thinking about the next shitty 3 years of 4-12 seasons. Smh.
