How does Pettine pronounce his name? Is it "PET-in" or "Pe-TEEN" or "Pe-TINE" or some other way??

Maybe we should have hired Rob Ryan, then.

Already saw on Twitter a great fantasy name for next season - "Heavy Pettine"

So now we need to draft based on what's going to sell tickets, not what's going to help us win?

No fucking way do you trade up for Manziel.

Let's say by chance Bortles or Bridgewater is available at 4, who do you want?

I'm interested to hear why the guru Kiper has Teddy falling to 8.

Not even close. They might go for both 1st rounders, or #4, the 2nd round pick and one of the third round picks. Wouldn't touch either of those deals if I'm Cleveland.

Since we're talking personal opinion, I don't really want either. Same with Derek Carr (who will somehow end up going top 10).

I'd rather have Murray or Mettenberger in the 3rd or 4th if we can't get Manziel. I think they're equally talented and don't come with the bullsh*t that comes with being a QB taken top 5 and have a very team friendly deal (see what the Seahawks have done with money saved by Wilson's deal; although that point is sort of irrelevant given our massive cap space).

Should have just f*cking taken Foles over Weeden and we wouldn't have to worry about this (not saying Foles is a franchise savior, moreso that I don't think any QB in this draft is better)
  • Automatik
You really think Manziel is a step above the other highly rated QBs? As much as that you don't even want to bother with the others?

    I think that's insane!

IMO I think Bortles or Bridgewater could satisfy the Cleveland fanbase.

I think his potential is a step above. In terms of current talent? Probably not. Gun to my head, I'd take Bridgewater at 4 if Manziel's gone.

Keep in mind I also don't think there's a future perennial all-pro QB in this draft, so the guys are grouped a lot closer.

Totally cool with you calling me insane. I've figured out I'm in the very slim minority when it comes to Manziel.
  • Automatik
I understand what you mean regarding Manziel. He has the potential to transform a franchise....big risk though.
  • lhslep134
Definitely a risk. From what I've read though he's a hard worker when it comes to football so I don't really have a problem with his off the field stuff.

Unless Manziel drops, I'd rather take 2 starters with picks 4 and 26.

Fuck that. If any of the 3 QBs are available you take one at 4. Quit playing games with the position. All three of them can make the browns better. Sure as hell not joining the "manziel or bust" bandwagon.

Regardless it is still better than shittsburgh's fair weathered fans and the Browns aren't an organization that needs to make moves based on how many tickets they can sell LOL.
Stadium Upgrades? What is this minor league baseball?

You never heard of organizations making improvements to their stadium?

Are you really this fucking dumb or are you just fucking with us? For your sake I hope your "hey I am a dumbass" act is actually an act.

    Fucking this.

They don't take manziel, bridgewater, or bortles at 4, I'm gonna lose my shit.

Manziel has done some elite things though, and had incredible performances. Bridgewater is just kinda eh, in fact many say he's a more polished Geno Smith

You really think Bortles and Bridgewater are that much better of prospects than Mettenberger or Murray?

Edit: I don't have any rational reason for not liking Bridgewater, just kind of "eh" on him.

It's not Manziel or bust. It's Manziel or take a QB later. That's not "bust", we have a starting QB already on the roster.

Yes. Murray is a career back up at best, pop corn weak ass arm. Bortles/TBW have the physical tools, intangibles, and smarts. While I was high on Mettenberger initially this yr, he was throwing to 2 1st/2nd round pick WRs and still managed to look like a bum some games. Very inconsistent. All the physical tools, but not the consistency. Not a big believer in him anymore, but bring him in as a 4th round project I wouldn't QQ too much.
  • lhslep134
Can't really disagree with that assessment of Murray. But this year feels pretty similar to the 2011 draft's QB class to me.
  • Automatik
I'd stay away from Mettenburger. No real opinion on Murray, other than I don't see either making any noise at the next level.

I feel the same way I do this year about Bridgewater as I did about Geno last year.

I know it's cliche, but I get high on a QB when they can "make all of the throws" and I've seen that with Bridgewater. On several occasions he's made some NFL like plays, with what appeared to be minimal effort. The kid can chuck it.
  • Laley23
Just give me one of the guys who isnt playing with an NFL WR or NFL O-Line. Bridgewater or Bortles. Not Manziel.
  • Automatik
DeVante Parker will probably be in the NFL.

And was Manziel's Oline really that good in terms of NFL potential this season? Considering what the lost last year?

It was more of a typical trend, I havent delved into the draft yet to see what teams have what. But, my point is, unless you have a cant miss at a "football school", he probably has a TON more talent then the guy you are comparing at a "small, non-football" school.

And Parker probably will be in the NFL, but he isnt Mike Evans. And no one on UCF or LVille is better than A&Ms line, even if they arent NFL caliber (IMO)
