Taking away the top threat in the league allows the defense to focus on everyone else.
I'm not as concerned as most because they aren't going to be a passing team.

I hope this isn't the case, 'cause I'd like to think we'll be a more balanced team. I guess time will tell.

Oh, I'm sure they will throw but my belief is that it's going to be a ball control/win with defense type of setup. I'll be very surprised if they are throwing the ball 30+ times per game.

Tough to be a running team when you have very little threat to pass the ball. It may sound odd to some, but you would be a better running (and passing team) with Gordon on the field. To do this type of scheme you need an elite defense. Browns D is good, but not elite enough to use the Seahawks method of winning.

    The chiefs disagree.

    True.

But they still have a QB who just plain wins games.

I still stand by the statement though that the browns would be a more successful running team WITH Gordon than without.

No shit, but you don't need that much of a passing game to be successful at running. The Browns have an all pro TE. A running game is mostly an attitude of establishing your will. The fucking Jets made it to back to back conference title games with this approach, and they had Mark Sanchez as their QB. Just stop.

    This.

Although the threat of a viable vertical passing game, with Gordon, would be nice and open things up, it's not a necessity. I get the "you need a vertical threat so opposing defenses don't stack the box" argument. I used to beat that dead horse when Colt McCoy was the QB here. Hoyer & Manziel are different animals though. With Cameron, the slot guy we picked up from Cincy, and a couple of these other receivers, they should be able to open things up enough to run the ball effectively.

    The Vikings disagree.

    The Seahwaks disagree.

    The 49ers disagree.

Anyone else see that Terrence West is starting on the non-football injury list?

Lol it was only a matter of time. A misdemeanor, what's the worst that can happen? David modell can go fuck himself too. Steve Everitt probably approves the pissing.

Ugh maybe it's because of law school, but the first thought when I saw the video wasn't "f*ck yeah that dude is AWESOME" but rather "only a matter of time before he gets sued because he just provided evidence"

Could they really sue on misdemeanor charges? Also, it is not 100% clear in the video that he is pissing lol.

It all depends on the claim they would file, and Maryland/Baltimore's element requirements. He admits what he is doing, so that should be sufficient. Combine that with the showing of the 'texas catheter", and yeah it doesn't need to be 100% clear, but it's obvious enough to create liability. More likely it's a criminal statute that provides for a certain civil penalty or range of penalties.

He admits guilt though on the video, without any influence from an outside source (police/power). I would think that is enough, but I am not a lawyer...

I think that Modell is a turd as much as the next guy but that dude is an idiot. Just another reason for BSPN and the rest of the nation to look at the city of Cleveland as a bunch of losers.

Who gives a fuck what ESPN says or thinks. Modell is a piece of shit and deserves to have his grave pissed on.

I am with you there. I don't give a fuck what ESPN says. Media has taken plenty of cheap shots at cleveland, it will never end.
