2013/14 NBA season chatter - let the LBJ hating begin!

I think Adams and Lamb will be key rotation pieces, Adams probably the long term starter at C, plus they'll get cheap depth this year with the Mavs pick. This article explores the "what-ifs". Personally, I would have made the same decision, I would have probably just sought a different trade.

This was a surprisingly entertaining read about how the NBA would end, using a video game simulation, if every incoming player had the game's absolute worst stats. The best part was how the real-life trainwreck Knicks were a trainwreck in the game, too, being the first team to start relying on all the crap players.
At least Cavs fans finally get to taste a championship and Anthony Bennett is vindicated in the end.

They couldn't afford to pay both him and Ibaka right?

Curry should of got the nod over Harden in an instant for 1st team, and I HATE to see Blake Griffins overrated ass get put on all NBA teams (although he at least did improve his shot this year)

Also surprised no Melo on any of the teams, but forward is the most stacked position in the NBA by far.

So are the politards, since according to the game simulation, Obama apparently named himself president FOREVER.

The worst thing about that article was reading it all the way through then realizing that in 2033 I'd be 47.

I LOL'd at Obama never losing his presidency and the line "he clearly abolished the constitutional term limits, and god knows what else with it" was awesome.

Melo would be there if they did it by actual position, but they group the forwards together. Actually thinking about it he may be the 4th best SF, depending on if you like Paul George over him or not.

Curry and Harden are similar statistically, neither are good defenders also.

I've never been more wrong on a pro athlete than I have been with Noah. Never would have picked him as an all nba first team player.

Yeah, I'd take PG over Melo, because he's a 2-way player.

    Yes/No.

They'd been way over cap, and getting hit with the luxury tax, but they could've amnestied Perkins and saved money on him. At least for a couple years before pulling the plug and moving him. However, had they one a cpl rings maybe the owners eat the luxury tax.

This speaks more to how bad the center position is in the NBA then how bad your prediction skills are.

Finals predictions? Who wins and in how many games?
  • Automatik
I think it's going 7, toss up for now on who wins.

Taking SA in a close one tonight.
  • Laley23
Ill be bold. SA in 6.
  • Iliketurtles
    I'm taking SA in 6. I think they win games 1, 2, 5, and 6.
  • wildcats20
    Heat in 5.
  • lhslep134
I'll go bold. SA in 5 if Parker is healthy.

If he's not 100%, I have 0 clue who is going to win.

While this years Heat team has a healthier Dwayne Wade, their supporting cast is worse than last years.
  • robj55
I think it will either be Miami in 6 or SA in 7, thinking Miami will steal one game on the road, either 1,2 or 5. It will be another classic series with a ton of lead changes and swings, probably a lot of overreacting from game to game.
  • Mulva
Spurs in 7. Each team wins one on the road in the first 4, home team takes 5-7.
  • SportsAndLady
    Heat in 6
  • Terry_Tate
    Miami in 7.
  • vball10set
    Spurs in 6.
  • Lovejoy1984
    Heat in 6.

    Heat win 1-3-4-6
  • sportchampps
Heat in 5 but they lose tonight
