2013/2014 Columbus Blue Jackets

The team is getting very much love from the hockey media. Most people are predicting them to miss the playoffs yet again. Buchicross did pick them to make the Stanley cup finals though.

I have high hopes for this team. hopefully Bob can pick up where he left off last year and the addition of Horton who should join the team around December will be enough to make the playoffs. I will be at the game Friday and can't wait for the first puck to drop.

    Go CBJs.

Well that was a disappointing first game. Jack Johnson played well and they scored some goals but to many lapses on the defensive end.

Too many lapses on defense, and way too many turnovers.

This. Ugly game. I look for them to turn it around on the island tomorrow.

Bobo looked bad. Calgary is one of the worst teams they will face all year. Great crowd, home opener, Flames played an OT game last nice in D.C. and they still whipped on the CBJ.

We'll see about tomorrow. The Islanders are no joke.

I didn't think "Bobo" looked bad at the game tonight. I thought one of the goals was bad, but 2-3 were like impossible to defend shots stemming from bad defense/bad luck. To each his own I guess.

Bob wasn't bad. There were bad turnovers that led to breakaways for Calgary.

The 4th goal was awful. He let a soft rebound bounce right to his glove side, had no clue where it was and it was an easy tap in.

Sure, the defense is to blame, but that goal completely changed the outlook of the game, going down 4-2 in the 3rd is a lot different than 3-2 at home.

When I say "bad", I'm talking about a guy people expected to dominate the NHL, be the top goalie taken in fantasy drafts who goes out and allows 4 goals against a 65-point team on opening night.

    I'll be kind and say...underwhelming.

Hopefully they bounce back on the road tonight vs the islanders

Solid comeback. I saw the first period, they looked lifeless. Rallied and executed in the shootout. Bobo was very good after the start tonight.

It was a good road win. Blue Jacket have been pretty good on the power play so far. I got to watch the first period and overtime and the shoutout before the OSU game and at halftime and the team looked good.

    Nice to get the W

Jackets played like crap, Bob was great. Islanders played like crap, Nabakov was great.

Buffalo playing terribly in the defensive zone. Pretty easy for the Jackets so far.

4-1 in the 2nd. Ryan Miller has to be hurt. Our pp still looks poopy

4-1 was the final man buffalo looks bad

Buffalo is terrible. Good to get the win on the road regardless. Nice to see Murray getting ice time (15+ minutes last night, +3 rating).

Would like to see the Bruins in NWA tmrw but I already had plans to golf.

Keep whoopin ass. A good start is crucial for this team
  • sportchampps
Yeah a good start and then getting Horton back would be great

Detroit will win about 17-0. I mean, have you seen that line-up? Wow!
