Nigga that ain't bread, it's mass produced unsalted cracker that some random child molester "blesses"...Con_Alma;1437383 wrote:By you asking what believers have done is indication in it's own right that you are not aware of what others have questioned. Is it not?
To answer your quesion directly as it relates to me, I have questioned the presence of the Holy Spirit through Word saturating the bread and wine making the ability to commune or become one with God during the sacrament of Holy Communion. That's just one example that lends to proof that people of faith don't question the teachings and struggle with their own belief system all the time....seeking proof and justification. -

You know not what you speak for my family's place of worship uses bread as opposed to a mass produced wafer. The ordained minister is hardly random and has no record of federal offenses or accusations. You might be confused with identifying a "random" Catholic church mass with my post.DeyDurkie5;1437477 wrote:Nigga that ain't bread, it's mass produced unsalted cracker that some random child molester "blesses"... -

We need those wanting to discuss religion to simply keep it off of here. -

so a home baked loaf of bread makes that much difference?Con_Alma;1437639 wrote:You know not what you speak for my family's place of worship uses bread as opposed to a mass produced wafer. Well, if they pull it fresh out the oven there, it would be all warm and shit and damn good, so that'd make one big-ass difference to me!Hb31187;1437679 wrote:so a home baked loaf of bread makes that much difference? -

Who said it makes a difference?...Heretic is the only one that I saw. It's simply not an accurate statement to say it isn't bread as when DeyDurkie5 did. -

Con_AlmaAre any of his posts serious?
Was your question serious?
Whether those posts are or are not, I choose to see such opportunities as a chance to clarify those things that are most important to me. -

Gblockso con alma you dont believe that people can and are born gay? if someone is born with the 'switch' turned the wrong way isnt it god who created them that way? or the situation for the medical contition to make it that way? how is it then a sin for living the way you were created?
-
Con_Alma????
I haven't ever said someone can't be born gay.
Yes, it would have been God's creation.
We are all born into sin. Supporting and fostering the continuation of sin is the challenge for us all not just homosexuals. -

[INDENT]Agreed that people shouldn't judge....Christians also, however, shouldn't support or lend to another committing sin...including homosexuality....keeping in mind that those that shouldn't "judge" are...Con_Alma;1437881 wrote:????

They may say that but as a, Christian I disagree. You shouldn't succumb to anything sinful, however. It should always be a fight to avoid anything sinful in nature.
con alma
you say you tolerate but clearly withdraw support for those who you see as not fighting hard enough to avoid sin as if they only tried harder or believed more in the holy spirit they wouldnt be gay. therefore you basically shun them on one hand and tolerate them on the other.
i feel that they probably did try, i dont think anyone chooses to be gay, but rather they were born that way. so im not sure if i can qualify that as a sin, if that is the way GOD created them?

I don't know if they are fighting hard enough to avoid sin or not. There's no way for me to know that. I certainly don't shun anyone and I don't think "believing in the Holy Spirit more" wouldn't necessarily keep them from being gay.Gblock;1437883 wrote:....

I appreciate you sharing with me that you don't think it's a sin. -

i honestly dont know if it is or not, but im open to that thought certainly. with the myriad of medical conditions and birth defects it seems likely that some percentage of out population could be born a male but with a female body or vise versa. you could also be born with some type of brain mutation that causes you to like the same sex. one thing im sure of is that you cant "fight" it. i absolutely beleive that if you are born gay you wont be able to change that no matter how hard you try.Con_Alma;1437886 wrote:I don't know if they are fighting hard enough to avoid sin or not. Con_AlmaI don't necessarily disagree with anything you have said. I do, however, believe that nothing you said matters with regard to sin.
Everyone is born into sin.
No one can avoid sin.
What makes the sin of homosexuality any different? -

Nearly no one is fired for any other sin that is legal behavior.Con_Alma;1437893 wrote: What makes the sin of homosexuality any different? -

well if i conceded that it in fact was a sin and its not different, then why would you not lend support to me if i was gay? if its not different then why shouldnt i be allowed to marry? that being said i bet jason collins believes that as much as he tried to fight it with many women, he finally had to admit to himself that he was born gay. this realization probably leads him to believe that it is then not a sin, but living the way god created him.Con_Alma;1437893 wrote:I don't necessarily disagree with anything you have said. Con_AlmaIf it is me you are seeking "support" from it would have to be me that concluded it was not a sin.
We all live the way God created us...in sin. The point is not that anyone of us is better than the other or more sinful than another but that we should be in a constant state of being closer to God and avoiding sin. -
Gblockso you support every other sinners except gay ones?

?????Gblock;1437905 wrote:so you support every other sinners except gay ones?
I don't know how you came to that conclucsion. I don't knowingly support anyone's sinful actions and certainly would rather folks not enable mine.
