All are sinful...gay or not. The difference from a Christian perspective is repenting and seeking forgiveness for the sin as opposed to embracing it as positive and continuing it.Gblock;1436078 wrote:i think some even question if tebow is gay with the whole virgin christian thing. either way i also think some people hate him for bieng too goody goody and want him to fall. thinking that hes lying or hes a hypocrite or something. its hard to feel bad for him but in a way i do. -

It was an extension of the thought of an open Christian being gay by adding my opinion to such a possibility.Gblock;1436091 wrote:i dont see what that has to do with my comment -
Gblockoh i see...i would think that most would say that you cant be christian and be gay

They may say that but as a, Christian I disagree. You shouldn't succumb to anything sinful, however. It should always be a fight to avoid anything sinful in nature. -

not saying i think that..but i would say most traditional christians would feel like that. i think chris broussard said as much yesterday. personally i dont think any person should judge any other person.Con_Alma;1436098 wrote:????

Agreed that people shouldn't judge....Christians also, however, shouldn't support or lend to another committing sin...including homosexuality....keeping in mind that those that shouldn't "judge" are not perfecct in their attempts to be nonjudgmental or without sin....just as the homosexual isn't perfect in their attempts to avoid sinful lifestyles....if that is indeed a desire of theirs.Gblock;1436100 wrote:not saying i think that..but i would say most traditional christians would feel like that. i think chris broussard said as much yesterday. personally i dont think any person should judge any other person. -

Just STFU. I respectfully decline.Commander of Awesome;1436105 wrote:Just STFU. Thanks. -

so in this case he is not saying he is trying to avoid it, but rather embrace it and not try to change or repent...so in your opinion can he then be christian?Con_Alma;1436103 wrote:Agreed that people shouldn't judge....Christians also, however, shouldn't support or lend to another committing sin...including homosexuality....keeping in mind that those that shouldn't "judge" are not perfecct in their attempts to be nonjudgmental or without sin....just as the homosexual isn't perfect in their attempts to avoid sinful lifestyles....if that is indeed a desire of theirs. -

Please stop. Using this stage to push your christian 'talk' is obvious, and no one wants to read it on a pro sports forum regarding an NBA player coming out as a homosexual.Con_Alma;1436103 wrote:Agreed that people shouldn't judge....Christians also, however, shouldn't support or lend to another committing sin...including homosexuality....keeping in mind that those that shouldn't "judge" are not perfecct in their attempts to be nonjudgmental or without sin....just as the homosexual isn't perfect in their attempts to avoid sinful lifestyles....if that is indeed a desire of theirs. -

I haven't pushed anything. I responded to another poster bringing up Christianity.SportsAndLady;1436111 wrote:Please stop. Using this stage to push your christian 'talk' is obvious, and no one wants to read it on a pro sports forum regarding an NBA player coming out as a homosexual. -

Right and you salivated at the opportunity to talk about Christianity. Instead of just...here's an idea Con...letting it go and not responding, you decided to get deeper into it. You do it on every thread and NO ONE wants to read it.Con_Alma;1436114 wrote:I haven't pushed anything. I responded to another poster bringing up Christianity.
Perhaps it's now time to ask for a religion forum, used similarly to the politics forum (when a thread goes that direction..see: this one..it gets moved there where Con can talk to himself about the subject). -
DeyDurkie5Christians are the absolute worst when it comes to this debate.
"gays are wrong, becuase a book tells me they are wrong."
Sound logic -
Gblockin this case its clearly related...realax guy. this is what makes the gay issue so controversial is it not??
-
Hereticlol at the concept of a person being a sinner because an old obsolete book says so. Some of us use reason and intelligence; not blind adherence to flawed ideals.

So the ONLY reason this is news is because of religion? Is that what you're trying to say?Gblock;1436119 wrote:in this case its clearly related...realax guy. this is what makes the gay issue so controversial is it not?? -
DeyDurkie5Deuteronomy 23:1
Quote:"No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord."
Well, looks like Cats Gone Wild is fucked. -
DeyDurkie5Deuteronomy 28:56-57
Quote:The most refined and delicate woman will refuse her husband and children her afterbirth and infant, that comes out from between her legs, as she secretly eats them for food.
Deuteronomy 25:11-12
Quote:"If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity."
Ezekiel 23:19-20.
Quote:"Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."
Better start fucking donkey's con -

I'm not mad at all...I couldn't care less about this issue. I just think it's hilarious that this is going down the route of a religious debate, when it really shouldn't be...and also amused that Con poked his head out to spew his Christianity propaganda.Gblock;1436133 wrote:well i dont know if its the only reason its news, but certainly a big reason what makes the issue of being gay so contriversial...what do you think is the ONLY reason this is news? im not sure i undertand what you 're saying or why your so mad? its clearly related -
Manhattan BuckeyeThe reason it is news is because Sports Illustrated is so desperate for attention they created news, they have a whole group of articles dedicated to this:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/magazine/news/20130429/jason-collins-gay-nba/?sct=hp_t2_a4&eref=sihp
I suppose no one had heard of Billy Bean, or Kwame Harris, or if rumours are correct Kendall Gill. -
wkfanHere's another interesting philospohical discussion on this topic.......
Why didn't KB1 call soccer's Robbie Rogers when he came out??
