where do you guys think he will be drafted?Crimson streak;1395893 wrote:So did minter from lsu. Not a big deal. Considering if you saw him run his form wasn't the greatest so if he had good form I'm sure he could have been in the 4.7's. either way I think 40 times are retarded to begin with. There's a difference between teach speed and football speed -
killer_ewokI think Cincy will draft Te'o with the 21st pick.

Still first rd. he won't go past the bears. -
MulvaDamontre Moore did not have a good day. Only 12 reps on the bench.

I pray that doesn't happen -

Me too -
Azubuike24If Rey stays, I don't see the Bengals going LB that early.

[SP]Looks like it is not out of the question for Te'o to drop out of the first round. Not surprised, he def looked slow in the national championship. http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/8989377/2013-nfl-combine-slow-40-manti-teo-real-impact[/SP] -
LJMathieu did 4 reps on the bench press bahahahahahaha

xKoToVxSyNdRoMeJamie Collins had a solid day yesterday. 41.5 inch vert 11'7" broad jump and a 4.6 40 are pretty impressive for a 6'3" 250lbs linebacker.

I still see the bears taking him if he falls to them. -

Honestly they should tier the bench press weights by position. DB's should have to do something like 185 while LB's should have to do 225 and linemen 275. Same goes for offense. Skill positions 185 and O-Line 275. It's stupid to have some 185 lb DB or a punter try to rep 225.LJ;1396191 wrote:Mathieu did 4 reps on the bench press bahahahahahaha -

I saw another article knocking him because was he was 14lb less than what he was listed at ND. Weighed in at 241, listed at 255.like_that;1396187 wrote:Spoiler used just in case certain people do no want to get butt hurt.

The slow 40 isn't the end of the world, but obviously not helping his case. -

Maybe, but Jonathan banks is 6'2 186 with 35" arms and did 10 reps. Mathieu is 5'9 186 with 31" arms. Just a comparison to show how bad it is -

I'm sure everyone on here hates Tom Brady, but he just did something that is pretty darn cool and you hardly ever see anymore. He signed a contract for way below market value to help the Patriots win for the length of his contract. I'm sure 99% of people on here hate the Patriots and I still do, but honestly have huge respect for Brady being about winning and not just making as much $$$ as he can. I know he's made a ton already and will still be making a lot, but still, pretty awesome to see a top player take a big pay cut just to win.
I remember when Griffey did this for the reds....signed "well below" market value and he was celebrated by some. He was still getting a shitload of $$ though. -

WHo knows about the weight thing. It wouldnt be the first time that the program height/weight didnt match up to a players actual numbers. Or he could have possibly lost some weight working out the last couple of months. It is entiretly possiblyAutomatik;1396329 wrote:I saw another article knocking him because was he was 14lb less than what he was listed at ND. Weighed in at 241, listed at 255.

I agree that 4 reps is bad but they shouldn't have 185 lb guys benching the same weight as 330 lb guys.LJ;1396355 wrote:Maybe, but Jonathan banks is 6'2 186 with 35" arms and did 10 reps. Mathieu is 5'9 186 with 31" arms. Just a comparison to show how bad it is -

I think as long as it is the same within the group it doesn't matter. -

The fact that he was lighter and his 40 time was slow does not help though.Automatik;1396329 wrote:I saw another article knocking him because was he was 14lb less than what he was listed at ND. Weighed in at 241, listed at 255.

I kind of get your point, but still, I'd expect a 185lb NFL prospect to bench 225 more than 4 times. I could bench 225 in high school weighing 150-160 pounds.BR1986FB;1396304 wrote:Honestly they should tier the bench press weights by position. I have seen guys who dont bench very much for various reasons but might be able to curl 100llb weights or huge amounts on shrugs or military press. some guys have much more strength in shoulders and back than necessarily pecs. i dont see it as a big deal as a db especially when he posted a 4.43 40 time.Pick6;1396518 wrote:I kind of get your point, but still, I'd expect a 185lb NFL prospect to bench 225 more than 4 times.
