Damn that's a great hire for them. Lovie would have been the guy I wanted if Garrett got canned.
  • Mulva
Lovie made the playoffs 1 time in his last 6 years in Chicago with a team wayyyy too talented for those types of results. In my opinion he is probably the most overrated coach on the market, and there's a reason nobody hired him last year.

I am going to be stupendously cold on Sunday.

Haha and those are conservative estimates! The models are showing -11

    2nd team Haden, Mack, Ward

    Goodness

    Surprised Burfict wasn't 1st team

Classic, only a Steeler fan would sue for something like that.

Gruden Jay to coach the skins. Well deserved for him and I think he will be a heck of a coach. Sure RG3 is happy tonight.

Jay Gruden was a horrible OC for the bengals IMO

    lol

Not looking up their ranking I bet they were only like a top 20 offense team three or so years ago. Bumped up to a top 10 team couple years ago and this past year were close to top 5.

Whatever their ranking they've improved every year for the past few.

Some insider guy said he believes Gruden would be a much better HC than an OC because the responsibilities are different. The guy admitted Gruden's shortcomings as an OC and it wouldn't matter as HC.

Gruden announced he would be calling his own plays.

    Uh oh.
  • Commander of Awesome
Still a better hire than Patty boy.
  • Tiernan
Are all the best candidates getting scarfed up before Gas Station Boy even makes an offer? Pickings were slim to start with and to wait this long puts the Breownies further and further behind in their search for a quality HC with virtually any experience beyond journeyman position coach or maybe even a graduate assistant. Its not looking good is it COA?

0-5 actually. Tiernan isn't a bengals fan though, so that post is pointless.
  • sportchampps
The Bengals offense improved because the talent improved not because of Gruden. Any Bengals fan who watched games will agree his play calling was suspect. The real talent on the coaching staff is Zimmer.

Well as has been discussed Cleveland is considered by many the worst job in the league to take so that doesn't help

Unless I missed something. Houston, and Washington are the only two positions filled, and if we trust the media, Cleveland wasn't interested in either of the guys that were selected.

    Tampa Bay hired lovie
  • Tiernan
No big names left at all...whoever they get will be a first time HC and will need a 2-3 learning curve to even think about a possible .500 season.
