2013 Random NFL Chatter

Would have won 200 if Falcons won
Would have won 140 if Flacons won and Gonzalez scored a TD (he did)
Would have won 70 if Matt Ryan didn't throw an INT

So yeah, that pick 6 hurt

It's hilarious that the Cowboys camp still says Romo might be playing.

I thought either you or COA avoided ESPN at all costs.

Regardless the Eagles have been fortunate.

Well considering I don't have cable, avoiding ESPN is actually pretty easy. Thanks.

I also don't go to their site, or get mobile updates. I do, however, listen to a few of their podcasts on occasion. (Used to listen to them a lot more, but NBA today with Bruce Bowen is god awful, only talk about big market teams and instead of discussing basketball, Brue likes to talk about players psyche and where their head is at, lolfail, missed my drafts this year so I stopped listening to fantasy focus, pretty much only listen to NFL today bc Matt Williamson brings teh lulz. )

Cowboys sign Jon Kitna. He hasn't played in almost 3 years. LOL. I'm kinda hoping he has to take a snap Sunday. Just another chapter in the Dallas saga.

Too bad the Cowboys got rid of the youtube sensation Alex Tanney.

I would argue that Fouts is much worse than Collinsworth.

They didnt get rid of him. He was on the practice squad and those guys are free game for teams to sign.

I took a triple take when I saw they signed Kitna. There has to be someone else that would give them a better shot if Orten gets hurt.
When Ortan got the call for some reason I envisioned it being like the part in Major League when the catcher gets a call from the Indians and he tells the guy off for pulling a joke on him

Rodgers is going to start for Green Bay on Sunday, Randall Cobb is going to be evaluated tomorrow and might play as well.

Normally I don't make fun of people for stuff like this but this was just too funny.

As for the Kitna signing its whatever I mean at least he knows the system. I think it's really cool how he is donating him game check to the school he works at. I just hope that Romo plays to make Schefter look like an even bigger douche than he already is.

I figured Rodgers would come back this week. Would be pretty amazing if Cobb did as well. Will be interesting to see how the Bears play after getting killed on Sunday Night.

Nnamdi Asimugha is retiring... amazing that 3 years ago he was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and now gone.

Exactly why after 1 or 2 good years, you hold out and hang your owner/team by the balls to get paid. Normally in sports, we ridicule athletes who do this, but in football, I'd do it as soon as I could. On the back end, team's have no qualms about cutting you without any consideration later on. This is especially with a position like RB (where you can only take so many hits) or CB (where you lose 1 step and you're done).

Romo is officially out. Orton to start. Yay.

He's going to have a hell of a game. Gonna get that Flynn money.

Shit, he already has a 3 year, $10 mil deal lol.
  • Iliketurtles
Yeah I don't think things can get much better for Orton than they already are he isn't that young.

I don't think it mattered who started this game. I think the Cowboys offense even with Orton will have a good day but the defense will be lucky to force a punt with the way the Eagles offense is playing.

I bet NBC is wishing they could have flexed the Packers/Bears game now.
  • sportchampps
I always felt Orton was a decent QB in the NFL. He was in that 15-20 range of starting QBs.

If the Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl, does Russell Wilson change for his halftime performance or does he perform in his uniform?
