Ironman92He likely did it with purpose and plan.....but to me his frame is not one for 240 lbs
We'll see.
I understand the financial side of it....we'll see how he holds up. -

He played at 210 last year. -
mucalum49Apparently Trout finished last year at 230.

But most of the added weight is muscle — Trout's body fat is 9% — and he expects to lose about 10 pounds during camp, which would put him right around the weight he finished last season at, 230 pounds.
And he has not gained 30 pounds, as some have speculated. Though he was listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds last season, he actually weighed between 225 and 230.
"I think it's pretty funny," Trout said of the response to his weight gain. "I usually lose five to 10 pounds in spring. I figured if I came in at the weight I want to play at and lost five to 10 pounds, I'd be underweight to start the season." -

If Cabrera lost a leg. -
Azubuike24If he's at 9% body fat (I have my doubts, just from the looks), he's fine. I'd guess more like 12-14%, but still. He's got plenty of time and it's funny, because it may very well make him that much better.
Holding more weight on his frame will definitely help him through the grind of a long season, especially if the Angels go deep in the playoffs. He might possibly play 170+ games...that's a huge challenge for a guy who probably never played over 100 before last year. -
Ironman92Lol...this is awesome
The Mets two highest paid outfielders this year are Jason Bay and Bobby Bonilla. -
Ironman92The last year Bonilla was a starting contributor to the Mets....
1995 -
thavoiceHave the deferred contracts subsided in recent years? Do not seem to hear of them and hated it when they started doing it. Reds will owe griffey 6.5 million a year through 2024 I do believe. I Presume the reds still are on the hook for it even tho he was traded.

I haven't given anyone my password to try, but I have had a game on PS3 and a different one on my laptop at the same time with no issues. Others have said they have shared an account with no problems though. Don't listen to Classyposter. -

Sadly, if Bonilla suited up right now, he would clearly be the Mets best outfielder this season.Ironman92;1391926 wrote:The last year Bonilla was a starting contributor to the Mets....

Alas, I will still be in centerfield at Citi this summer, drinking my $9 beer and rooting for the awe-inspiring trio of Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Collin Cowgill and Lucas Duda ... ughh, that even sucked to write. Well, at least we get the All Star game, right?? -

BigAppleBuckeyeGet used to hearing a lot about Zack Wheeler in the next 1-2 years (Mets got him in the Beltran trade last year). Kid has FILTHY stuff, true #1 starter material. Today was his Spring debut, kid looked sick out there.

Jason Bay went 1-1, 2 BBs and a 2-run HR(in his first swing). Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for him in resurrecting his career in Seattle. -
