Works pretty damn good on an iPad or through a gaming console. I had pretty good picture on my phone also. If you have a buddy who will split the cost with it it's a great idea

why don't 5 of us split the cost this year? I think you can watch it on more than one device at a time, right?

No way multiple people can watch st the same time. I know if I log into my NHL Gamecenter on the PS3 it immediately boots me off on the computer

i've watched Braves game on the PS3 and then another game on my laptop before, usually when a no hitter is going on or something.

I'm definitely out of market. I have a compatible LG TV, an xbox hooked up to my other TV, laptop, smartphone, and I'm getting an ipad here soon. I'll have plenty of ways to watch. lol
Midstate01;1389525 wrote:That's what I did. A few of us split the cost and used one email and password
All my friends around here are Reds or Indians fans. No taste, if you ask me.
karen lotz;1389562 wrote:There was a monthly option two years ago, I think it was 24.99 a month. I went that route because I got a ps3 in July and didn't want to pay the full 125 for 3 months. Kind of surprising they wouldn't offer that again. Has the 2013 app been released? I looked earlier this week and it hadn't.
The 2013 app hasn't been released. But I got the promotional email last week and there wasn't a monthly option. Maybe they wait to offer that? Not sure why they would.

Sad to hear about the death of Nick Swisher's mother.

Also, did anyone watch "The Next Knuckler" on MLB Network? Decent show...
  • Azubuike24
Also, did anyone read about the Carl Pavano injury? A "shoveling" accident where he accidently jabbed himself in the stomach with a shovel handle while removing snow, causing 6.5 liters of blood to be removed from his stomach and requiring emergency surgery. Really?

    Unreal.

Mike Trout reports to camp at 240 lbs!!!

He played at 210 last year.
  • Ironman92
Bryce Harper arrived at 6'3 230
  • Azubuike24
It's no secret that maximum strength and power is going to come with increased bodyweight, all of which will NOT be muscle if you're talking about a 4-month period for 25 lbs.

Trout just took this really literally and decided to pack on as much as he could. Who needs to be able to run the bases or swap bags when you're hitting in-between Pujols and Hamilton? Who needs to play CF when your offense is so good, defense won't matter?

This kid is the smartest 20-year old EVER!

Didn't get to see any reports on him, but that has to be too big. Like Azubuike was saying, no way he can still run.
  • Azubuike24
So it's apparently a huge story. I mean yeah, if the kid got lazy and just punched the clock all winter, he's probably got some maturity issues to deal with. With that said, say you put on 25 lbs, but still lift weights and do some training the whole time (which I'm sure he still did), half of that or maybe 60% (probably 80% max if you're really dialed in) will be muscle. So if he's carrying 15 lbs of muscle and 10 lbs of fat, he can easily trim that 10 lbs of fat off and maybe only lose 5 lbs of the muscle in 6 weeks.

Conceivably, he could be in even better shape by opening day. It's not a big worry at all. Hell, look at some of the guys who show up at NFL OTA's in May. There are some guys who play positions that rely strictly on strength and being somewhat lean (DE's, TE's, etc...) who have done nothing but chill for 4 months. They can usually be in even better shape by training camp, barring injuries.
