First time in Mo's career that he blew a save without recording an out ... as a long-suffering Mets fan, this glimmer of light was certainly enjoyable last night! Sweeping the 2-game series in Queens over the Skanks has me in a good mood this week.ohiobucks1;1449544 wrote:@SportsCenter: Mariano Rivera BLOWS 1st save of season, as David Wright scores the game-winning run in bottom of the 9th. Rotinaj@Buster_ESPN: Run differential by division: NL Central +120 AL East +61 AL Central +34 NL West -1 AL West -75 NL East -139
Pretty crazy. -
karen lotzYou'd think the Tigers would have the AL Central at about +942 with their sick lineup and just ridiculous rotation.

I'm just disappointed that they apparently don't care enough about interleague games to put forth any effort. I mean, they're obviously not even trying to win against Pittsburgh because they're scoring far less than 14.6 runs per game against one of those weak NL teams. And even giving up more runs than they're scoring in two of three so far! THE INSANITY!!!!!!!!!!karen lotz;1449720 wrote:You'd think the Tigers would have the AL Central at about +942 with their sick lineup and just ridiculous rotation. -

New strategy Jim is trying out, letting NL teams think they have a chance to compete. We'll see a completely different outcome near the end of October. -

Ironman92Yeah....I do now but I looked about everywhere else. Being a former Brave I just didn't know where you were going.

RotinajI can't believe the sickest lineup in baseball history lost a series to the pirates 3-1 and got shut out twice. Or is this just part of the strategy? I must know!!!!!

There was no dh Leland's strategy was all screwed up -
SportsAndLadyThe Cincinnati Reds are in third place in the NL Central. They'd be in first place in 4 of the 5 divisions, and 1/2 game back in the 5th division.
The NL Central is gooooood. -

Detroit learned what happened when you mess with the good Central. lolRotinaj;1450503 wrote:I can't believe the sickest lineup in baseball history lost a series to the pirates 3-1 and got shut out twice. Or is this just part of the strategy? I must know!!!!!
Or...I saw on the Reds-Indians thread last night a tweet from someone mentioning that the Reds and Tigers have the most LOBs this year. I can def see that with Detroit. Last night, I think they may have left 48375730 runners on base. Fuck, in one inning, they had to find new and creative ways to not score in order to escape without getting a single run.
Think they got four straight singles at one point, but a guy got thrown out at home on one of them and then afterwards, there was a force out at home and then the third out. Their utter ineptitude was kind of fun to see unfold! -

Tiger2003Dom Brown has another 2 HR game. He now has a NL leading 15 and 12 in the month of May. He has yet to draw a walk this month.
