  Quentin has also been hit something like 96 times the last 4 years, leading MLB. He dives in over the plate. If he doesn't like getting hit, he needs to change his hitting approach. What a greaseball.

  Kemp and Hairston were pissed. I'd like to see Quentin versus one of them. Kemp is the same size and Hairston has that crazy look in his eye that you know he can scrap.

  ESPN showing the 2 prior HBP by Greinke/Quentin....the 1st one mashed his hand and he just went down to first....the second one was up and towards the middle of the back....wasn't even close and Quentin gave him the look on that one.
  
  I believe it was unintentional....but I also believe that Greinke should've turned in disgust and nothing else happens. Quentin shouldn't have taken 2-3 steps towards him but I don't think he charges if Greinke doesn't mouth him.

  Hard to mention all this and NOT mention the fact that SD had thrown over kemps head earlier in the game. It was almost the first thing Skully(sp?) brought up in the broadcast.

  It amazes me that MLB infielders so often are so inefficient on rundown plays and frequently botch them. In this one, after the SS briliantly took advantage of the circumstance(runner on 2nd held up to be sure he was not doubled off it it was caught in the air) to make the play to get the two lead runners, rather then let the lead runner get to 3rd taking the 4-6-3 DP, the 3rd baseman's play was highly suspect. He was in too big of a hurry to get rid of the ball, and instead of running at the runner immediately back toward 2nd and then throwing it to get him tagged out when he hits a pinch point, he threw it to 2nd way too early and let the runner head to 3rd again. They finally got him out with the ball back in the 3rd baseman's hands, and he sees the batter hung out in between 1st and 2nd, and instead of running at him, he immediately throws to first when the runner was closer to 2nd than 1st, but he was saved by the first baseman's quick catch and accurate throw to nail the batter going into 2nd for the 3rd out.
