chicago510On that note...with the Olympics a year away, who is the best American hockey player currently?
Kane? Parise?
Miller has struggled lately. Quick looks sluggish. Suter is off to a slow start. -

Hawks look scary good this year. 20 points in 11 games, no regulation losses.
Kane looks possessed this year. -

Raw Dawgin' itAnyone else suspect Ovechkin took PEDs? Since 2010 he's had a steady decline in points.

Something is up with him. He used to be top 5 player in the league and better than Sid (plays both ways). Can't say that anymore.Raw Dawgin' it;1385066 wrote:Anyone else suspect Ovechkin took PEDs? Since 2010 he's had a steady decline in points. -
Raw Dawgin' itOvie has definitely dropped off the past couple years which is unfortunate since he's definitely been much healthier and more reliable than Crosby in that time.
-
AutomatikOther than goal scoring, Ovie has never been better than Crosby.
I don't know his contract situation, but maybe a change of scenery would benefit him. He seems to have kinda lost "it".....he doesn't play with that same psycho attitude. -

I think a lot is the system he's playing in an lack of talent around him. He signed a 13 year $124 mil contract in 2008. So he still has 8 years ~$76 million left on his contract. It's a 9.5 million hit a year so no one is going to take him on IMOAutomatik;1385138 wrote:Other than goal scoring, Ovie has never been better than Crosby.

Detroit! Seriously though he needs to be in a system like Detroits, that feeds on puck possession and passing. Plus a lot of europeans on the roster in the Motor CityRaw Dawgin' it;1385147 wrote:I think a lot is the system he's playing in an lack of talent around him. End of LineFor OV to be effective, he needs to be in an offense only system that allows him to hover on the blue line. His style of play has already taken a toll on him as well.

Yeah OV seems very frustrated right now. I'm hoping its only a rough patch he will work through. It doesn't matter until they fix their d/ goal tending situation. It's been terrible this year -
Classyposter58That Red Wings game was unreal! LA ties it up with :52 left and then Detroit scores with :04 left to win. 3 wins in a row, very nice considering that they played on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. I can't believe that Chicago still has not lost in regulation. That is downright scary 10-0-2

Raw Dawgin' itOriginal 6 cup final - Boston vs Chicago.
-
Raw Dawgin' itBruins and Hawks both lose but still grab a point. Unreal Chicago has picked up points in every game and Boston only has 1 game w/o getting any.
-
Raw Dawgin' itlol Jack Edwards after the Bruins tied the game

TedShecklerJack Edwards is the worst.

TedShecklerYea, I was wrong about that. It's a moot point anyway since he won't be playing.
Jack Edwards is still the worst. -

Because he's also a fan of the team he commentates for? No one outside of boston is supposed to like him, I feel the same way about all other commentators.TedSheckler;1388295 wrote:Yea, I was wrong about that. It's a moot point anyway since he won't be playing.

like_thatMan, I wish the whole season was locked out. This country is worse when the NHL is going on.

TedShecklerYou can be a fan. That's fine, but he's over the top, and most of the time clueless. The only ones he rivals are the Pens announcers.

Agreed. Not sure why anyone would want to watch a bunch of mentally weak pussies. Crosby was out for basically 2 years for a concussion. LOL /tedshecklerlike_that;1388318 wrote:Man, I wish the whole season was locked out. This country is worse when the NHL is going on.
