Stupid is drafting a guy at 6 that has a deteriorating spine. HUGE risk

Congrats on using extreme examples to attempt to make your point.
Peyton Manning - You acused me of using extreme examples? lol
Brandon Carr - Decent pick up but not a difference maker
    Vincent Jackson - Knucklehead
Cortland Finnegan - Knuclehead who followed his HC. He wore his welcome out in Tenn
Tracy Porter - LOL, nuff said
Curtis Lofton - lol, really helped the league's worst def. Nice Fail pick 6, thought you were better than this.
Brandon Lloyd - Even during his last season said he wanted to play in NE and would (and did) take a pay cut to play there. Rams wanted to resign him
Ben Jarvis Green Ellis - NE Pats had 4 rbs on roster, and he's slow. Not elite and wouldn't have started on most teams.
    Geoff Schwartz
Mario Manningam - lol really? He had like 400 yds
Pierre Garcon - Injured most of the season
Laron Landry - signed a 1 yr deal in NY. Hardly key, esp for a terrible team.
Dan Connor - hardly an impact player for the Cowboys
Cedric Benson - he played what? 8 games?
Martellus Bennet - Giants signed a 1 yr deal come on.

Were all signed to new teams in 2012 and were pretty damn important to their team
Made point on all of your FAs. I really expected more from you pick6, you should know better when trying to argue with me. Need to know your facts.

Benson had 248 yards on the season with 1 touchdown....

Manningham only had 449 yards and 1 td. That is nothing to toot your horn about, even if he missed 4 games.

Everybody I listed helped their team out this year. Whether they are a knucklehead, signed to a 1 yr deal, or the defense still sucked is irrelevant to the discussion.

No pick6, that's EXACTLY the point. Not impact players and they're FAs for a reason. Jesus, you drink your coffee this morning?

Yeah but Im sure people would say Vernon Davis is an important piece of the 49ers, but he played 4 more games and only had a whole 100 more yards recieving.

You guys can nitpick all you want at the guys I listed, but all of them made their team better. Using guys like Albert fucking Haynesworth and Mario Williams to describe FA as fools gold is a joke. There is plenty of value to be found as long as you arent an idiot about it.

Didn't realize using the DPOY as #1 overall draft pick/leader in sacks over that span of time was idiotic.

Oh ok, the Niners should probably resign Alex Smith then.

I'm honestly shocked by pick6 here, he's going off the rails from his usual quaility posts. Comparing a TE to a WR?

You have clecon throwing out fantasy scenarios, pick6 reaching with his argument, footwedge being the most delusional know it all, iggy bringing his doom/goom posts, br/sl's weeden fights, me telling people how stupid their ideas are, COA telling people how stupid their ideas are, you with the RAPE van, the old wise men in miyagi/dr. kno it all, and on top of all that we have not seen a playoff team over 10 years.

I think that all adds up to us being the most self-hating fans.

Your argument was those guys "helped" their team out, so it was a good FA signing. Well Alex Smith helped out the niners this year, so they should resign him.

If we are counting FA's that resigned with their team, I could add a ton to my list :).

I want to see the Browns win the Super Bowl, but sadly this thread will not be as entertaining lol. Oh well, I will take that trade off any day of the week.

I am not saying that, but saying (insert player) "helped" their team out is a bit of a stretch. Hell I can stretch it out and say Fujita "helped" the Browns out.

When was our last legit FA signing, where it was safe for us to say "man that was a great signing?" Jurevicious is the last guy that comes to mind.

Head and shoulders better than Grossi, Rizzo, Cabbot, and Drennan

Won't get the most bang for their buck if he's only a situational guy and can't play in both systems.
