    Yeah me too.

He's injury prone himself so maybe not the best backup in the world. But if he's not getting major carries that could possibly lower his chances of injury.

Any news on Pinkston or Mingo?
  • ts1227
Mingo was released from the hospital, but that's about it,

Mingo will be out about a week, Pinkerton for 3 weeks maybe 4. Hopefully he only misses one regular season game.

Problem with those guys is that they're all going to want their carries and will probably command some cash. Last thing you want to do with a guy like Trent is bring in a guy to take away touches. I say go out and get another spat back that can be effective on third down.

Potential guys could be Kevin Smith, Stefan Logan, Javon Ringer, DJ Ware...

Im fine with that. I was just mentioning names. Though I think beanie wouldn't demand things. And he'd be playing at home.

I actually like everything I read/see of Gilkey. I think we're fine at guard with pinkston/ lauvao out for game 1.

I wouldn't mind them bringing in Ringer for a tryout. His style is opposite of Richardson. He didn't fit into the offense in Detroit, but when he DID get touches, he seemed to produce.

On a side note, Brandon Jackson looked pretty good Thursday. He didn't impress me much in game #1, but #2 he seemed to have a little more fire. Probably because he was fighting for a job.

    Cuts to come SOON!

They brought back the Cook kid from YSU.

Anyone think the Browns are trolling the media hard with this whole QB competition?

I honestly think the media is just retarded.

No. Chud doesn't bring it up. The press does. He just answers it nicely by saying he hasn't named a starter and they are competing for the spot. I think he would rather they just watch and make the obvious determination of who is getting the #1 reps.

    It's pretty clear.

If not for trying to spare the back up QB's feelings, why then would Chud "just try to be nice"?
