It only makes sense cause SoS goes off topic, thats no reason to change a thread name. -

I'd like some of the blame too. Eldora and the different dirt tracks plus GT cars gets some talk around here. Even if it's only a couple members.GoChiefs;1358808 wrote:It only makes sense cause SoS goes off topic, thats no reason to change a thread name.
lol...still more than some sports threads. -

SpeedofsandAllmendinger. I saw Michael Shank yesterday and he recognized me from Homestead last year. I showed him my pass (you get in free to testing with a 24 ticket) and asked 'How do you like your car being on the ticket?' He smiled and said he had not seen it before. He liked it. They topped the chart in a few sessions.

The leaders that were getting ready to put him 8 laps down. -
BGFalcons82What are the thoughts on the Gen6 car this year? Early reports say it handles better in traffic and should lead to more passing. It will also be nice to see cars not going sideways down long straightaways.

GoChiefsThe drivers have all been pretty positive about the car. It seems the biggest positive is that it actually looks like a street car. Lol Kyle Busch, who absolutely destroyed the COT when it came out if you remember, has said this car is near perfect and that he loves it.
"Camber rules that will impact rear grip, a taller spoiler aimed at keeping downforce numbers across the three brands within close proximity of one another, and a lower minimum weight (from 3,450 to 3,300 pounds) for the car will impact how the car handles, especially in traffic."
I think this is the biggest deal if it helps fix the boring ass racing on 1.5 mile tracks like they think it will. -
GoChiefsWow. NASCAR CEO Brian France was on the NASCAR live MRN radio show last night when none other than....Jeremy Mayfield called in to talk to him.
"I thought I would just call in and see how you guys were doing, Brian, Eli," Mayfield said. "Haven't been around much to talk to you guys lately, and just wanted to ask Brian if he's willing to accept the fact I'd like to come back racing and if we could sit down and talk about it and figure out what we need to do to make that work."
"Well, Jeremy, you know the path back for you it's the path back for anybody," [France] said. "I've always hoped you would choose the right path and not litigation and a bunch of other things, but that's up to you and you have a welcome mat out anytime you want. There's a stated process that AJ Allmendinger just went through and we welcomed him back, and it's terrific. That's up to you."
Mayfield quickly got off the air after France's response. "OK, well, I appreciate that," Mayfield said. "I didn't mean to bother you on the show, but it's the only way I could get a hold of you and I figured it would be a great opportunity to do that." -
GoChiefsSorry Mayfield, but nobody is gonna give your ass a chance in hell no matter what you do to get back in the sport.

Or to restrictor plate Michigan, that would become an amazing race instantly. GoChiefsHaven't really been able to tell anything from practice yet. They are being a bunch of pussies, just out there riding around, getting a feel for the car. Nobody's done any drafting yet. We'll wait and see if they do any this afternoon or not. It's sounding doubtful.

GoChiefsSweet. Take the biggest free agent name off the market. Kyle Busch reportedly has signed a multiyear deal to stay with Joe Gibbs Racing. Kyle wouldn't confirm the reports though, just saying that "everyone will find out on media day what's going down." That leaves Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, and Juan Pablo Montoya as the biggest names on the market now.
