said_aouitaLock Newman and Mikey in a car hauler for 10 minutes.
Problem solved. -

Plus fired some guys with families just so he could try to save face. -
sportsfan24Ryan Newman will drive for RCR in 2014

Curly JLooks like Spingate is the 3rd story on CNN right now. Way to go Mikey. I'm sure NASCAR will love you for that.

GoChiefsNASCAR to hold press conference at 8:15 regarding the race.
According to Jenna Fryer, Newman is in, Truex is out, all MWR teams docked 50 pts, $300k fine. -

CONCORD, N.C. —
Ryan Newman is replacing Martin Truex Jr. in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship as part of NASCAR'S penalties against Michael Waltrip Racing for manipulating the outcome of last weekend's race at Richmond.
Two independent people familiar with the situation described the penalties to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because NASCAR had yet to announce its decision. The governing body had scheduled a news conference for Monday night.
Michael Waltrip Racing has been fined $300,000, and general manager Ty Norris is suspended indefinitely. Truex, Clint Bowyer and Brian Vickers have been docked 50 points apiece.
The action by NASCAR is a result of Bowyer intentionally spinning with seven laps remaining to bring out a caution with Newman leading Saturday night. Newman was racing Truex for the final spot in the 12-driver Chase field.

Curly JOnce again they had someone go Maverick, who became another scapegoat. And once again Mikey knew nothing of it. Really ??? I guess this will be a reoccurring thing with MWR.
-
GoChiefsIt sucks though that Bowyer is basically getting of scott free. His 50 point deduction occurs before the points are reset for the Chase.
-
Curly J
True, but I do wonder what all will happen to him in the next 10 races. I believe he might have made a few enemies by his actions. I bet he won't spin on his own next time as there might be help there. He and everyone knows what he did even though NASCAR wouldn't say it.GoChiefs;1498249 wrote:It sucks though that Bowyer is basically getting of scott free. I'm glad NASCAR did something. I still don't think it was enough. -
GoChiefsThe only "true" enemy he should have made is Gordon. He cost Gordon a spot too. The other drivers I'm sure are pissed, but probsbly not enough to wreck him.
As far as Bowyer/Gordon goes, the are even now as far as I'm concerned. Remember Phoenix last year? Gordon intentionally wrecked Bowyer and took him out of Championship contention. -

Yep. I'm sure Bowyer was pretty satisfied that Gordon isn't in the Chase and that probably made it worth it to him. -

Bowyer has turned me into a Gordon fan. Can't believe I said that. Never would I thought I'd ever cheer for Gordon. I hope the 24 wrecks him every race until the end of the season. -

This deserves reps. It's amazing to me how many 24 shirts I saw at Kentucky Speedway. Growing up I was one of the rare Jeff Gordon fans, but now he has a lot of fans. It's the circle of life for a popular Nascar driver though. DW and Big E went from being hated to loved, Gordon has gone through a similar path, though not quite as loved as them yet. I do think we haven't seen the last of him and Bowyer. -
GoChiefsBullshit.
@Knighter01: 13th driver now added to the chase, @JeffGordonWeb b/c of "unfair disadvantage" -
GoChiefs@Knighter01: In addition to other actions, Penske and Front Row on probation, drivers / teams / owners to have special meeting
-
Terry_TateHoly crap, can't believe they actually added Jeff Gordon to the Chase.
-
GoChiefsLogano's ass should have been booted.
-

I would tend to agree with this. They pulled Truex out when MWR tried to game the system, they should do the same when Penske does it, though his wasn't to quite the effect as MWR. The bottom line is these teams suck at trying to cheat, they gotta do better than giving everyone clear audio of it.GoChiefs;1499940 wrote:Logano's ass should have been booted. -
slingshot4everGordon being in is fair.
