Great track, but 600 miles on a non super speedway track is a little lame

But a blown engine will bring him to a halt.
  • iclfan2
Another blown engine for JGR. Their 4th blown of the season, and Kenseth has at least 2 if not 3 of them. What the heck is TRD doing to their engines. They already cost Kenseth a win due to incorrect equipment, and he has been up front at least twice and then blows an engine. Frustrating.
  • GoChiefs
JGR has 4 this year, 2 belonging to Kenseth, 2 to Kyle. Kenseth blew up today and at Daytona, while Kyle blew up at Charlotta and Daytona. Besides today, the 600 is the longest race of the year, so engine failures are typical, and then you have the high RPM all race long restrictor plate races at Daytona. So it might be as big of an issue as it appears. Kenseth's win wasn't taken away though. Granted, he lost points, but he's still credited with the win.
  • iclfan2
Ok well there goes another TRD engine. Truex Jr. It's a big deal points wise, because these are two probable top 5's Kenseth would have had instead of DNF's.

Another year, and TNT still fucking blows at covering races.

    In their defense, it's Pocono.

In Pocono's defense, Kyle Petty is retarded everywhere.

But he's pure gold on Twitter!

This is why I always head over to MIS every year. Not only is it extremely fun, but TNT sucks balls

RIP Jason Leffler. Died from a crash today racing Sprint cars.

Speed Week at Michigan! I love having a track an hour away

The infield camping party looks fun. The racing is so-so. Too many drivers win on fuel and pit strategy.
    Doesn't make for good racing.

Hopefully the new cars are more exciting.

I went to the US 500 in 1996 but never a NASCAR race at Michigan.

Yeah but racing is never boring live really

Eh, even I get bored with the racing at MIS sometimes. Just doesn't produce enough passing and racing action because the field gets so spread out over the long green flag runs.

Didn't have that many long green flag runs today, Hendricks blew it bad today. Great cars, probably the best with the exception of Busch, and only Jimmy didn't blow his engine

It wasn't bad today. TNT made it worse, like always. I think Kahne had the car to beat, if his right front didn't go down.

He was killing it however I doubt he would have kept it up the whole race. Seems like MIS changes so much over the course of the race, and people suddenly stop running as well as they have all day. There was a lot of people, biggest crowd I have ever seen there, I heard over 90k

I've not been to enough NASCAR races in my life to compare traffic. Was one of the idiots stuck in traffic for the nationwide race at Kentucky a few years ago. I don't know if Kentucky raceway has put in enough additional lanes and/or exits to prevent long back ups. The Vegas NASCAR race wasn't bad traffic as far as I can remember...........but those four days are a blur. Michigan wasn't bad leaving the US 500 race, seemed like traffic kept moving along well.

Bing in Toledo it's nice having Michigan raceway (practically) in your back yard.
  • GoChiefs
Kentucky did fix their traffic and parking woes.

I don't mind them. I really think one should be in the chase

I'd love for them to add Road America to the chase but that's pretty late in the season to risk a race in Wisconsin.

Definitely a track I'll visit some day.
